Just had four new tires installed and so think I should get an alignment. Did it a few years back at what is now a Kal tire shop in Ottawa. At that time the tech had trouble keeping the car in neutral. Should I go there again or go to the SC where they clearly know how to do this?

Thanks for all the suggestions. Just ordered the brand new Vredenstein Quattro Pro + from Tire Rack. A new version of the tires I have presently with improved rolling resistance and quietness. XL rated for my M3. Even with the conversion a good deal😁

Looked at the Nokian Ones and was told they have a lower sped rating then recommended by Tesla. Was this a concern for you?

Quite a few parking garages we have used enroute to Miami Beach have level 2 slow chargers , which we have been using. Never really sure what the rate is but have people found them generally a good deal if you don’t need the much quicker Super chargers?

Driving Ottawa to Miami in a couple of weeks and will be spending a few nights at a relatives house in Raleigh where I have access to their dryer plug for quicker charging. Is it worthwhile buying an extension cord that will accommodate for quicker charging? TIA

Update: the heater element was replaced and they told me that the 12V battery is fine and if it was not the system would send me notifications. The tech told me his M3 is 6 years old and still on the original 12V, so I guess every case is different.

I am going in to the service center tomorrow as the heat is still an issue. They are thinking at this point that I need a “new heater” rough estimate of $1300. I will ask them to replace the 12V at tye same time. A lot of discussion ai have seen as to why this part of the battery is not covered...

Yes turned to defrost and that seemed to work fine. Tech called me this morning and said they did an OTA work around that should solve the problem , if not they will need to order a battery part that is not covered by warranty and is 1300 dollars. Prefer to not go that route 😳

I am having some gremlins going on with my pre heat pump 20 M3. Earlier in tye month horn stoped working and then started working again after I made an appointment with SC which I cancelled. Today the heater was blowing cold air, despite being cranked up to 25! I was wearing my hat and gloves...

Update: cancelled service as horn miraculously started working again.

Driving to Miami from Ottawa and our first stopover the hotel has stay n charge branded level 2 and I was wondering if it is worth using ? Should I just use the supercharger or use this overnight? Thoughts? M3 long range .

Given that I have had my Michelin x-ice for four winters , I think I will leave them on and if I wear them out on this road trip it won't matter as they have served their purpose.

Heading down to the Sunshine State for 3 weeks leaving February 10 from Ottawa. Should I take off my snows and put on my all seasons, for the trip? I expect there will be another month of winter once I return home to the capital, so a little unsure of what to do. Thanks!

Wayner you are correct. Made the trip by limping into Burlington SC keeping my speed down to barely make it. On the return trip Casselman was great, but southbound absolutely no SC unless you go quite a ways out of your way into Montreal.

I would say no you can’t. CRA would most likely not allow that imho.

Another weird thing I noticed is that when I go into my Bluetooth settings on my phone it says I am connected to Tesla 626400 and to my model 3. No idea what the 626400 and no option to remove it from Bluetooth.

That is a good thought but not applicable in my case.

I have deleted the app and reinstalled, hard booted the car, restarted my iPhone 13 and still having no luck stating without using the card. No issues before for 3 years. Are others having issues? Looks like I may have to make an appointment as this is super inconvenient.

I got mine installed at a specialist auto shop in my city that sells wheels, racks etc. Most cities have such shops. Good luck!

The mobile tech came by today and replaced the broken plastic switch that had somehow sheered off inside the seat cavity. He said they are quite delicate and he himself had broken one with his foot on a customers car😳. Good to go now!

This week the passenger back rest has stopped working in my 2020 M3. Any suggestions or do I need to make a service appointment?

Just noticed that the passenger seat has lost it’s ability to recline in my just out of warranty 20 M3. Anyone else have this happen? Everything else works fine .

Wow, good you caught that under warranty. This sort of thing should never happen IMHO. Tesla really has some quality control issues when you learn of stuff like this .

Next time you are going to Western there is now a supercharger in Exeter which is quite close . Thanks for sharing your story!
