I dropped into the service center last week and crawled over the Cybertruck. My wife and I currently live out of state, however we’re moving to Vermont in the next 18 months so it will be good to have a service center nearby for our S and Y.
I’d thoroughly advise contacting these people Collision Safety Consultants - LOCATION FINDER
It’s in Allstates interest to pay out as little as possible and you will either want to get your car repaired or get fair value so you can get into an equivalent car. The FUSC is also worth something and...
I’d agree with the post above. My car came with the 21 inch arachnids with Michelin PS4 summer tires. For the colder months (I’m in Arkansas), I run the a square 20x10 setup from T-Sportline with Michelin all season tires. These are so good I run these all year round however if I was further...
I just experienced this in my wife’s 2022 MY LR where I put the charging adapter in an accessory console tray and closed the sliding door. The sliding door wouldn’t open over the adapter. I managed to push the sliding door back a couple of inches which was sufficient to insert a plastic trim...
These pair in my S Soundcore by Anker Life A1 True Wireless Earbuds, Powerful Customized Sound, 40H Playtime, Wireless Charging, USB-C Fast Charge, IPX7 Waterproof, Button Control, Bluetooth Earbuds, Commute, Sports Amazon.com
I can confirm that these inexpensive Bluetooth earbuds pair and work with the S rear screen after the holiday update (Feb 22 MS). Soundcore by Anker Life A1 True... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KDZ2NZX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I had one on my 2020 S. The undertray needs to be cut to fit the hitch so if done carefully the undercover will fit the hole. The magnets hold it into the hitch and it’s easily removed as needed. Works well.
For those like me with a 2021 onwards Model S for which the Tekonsha kit fails to work, I’ve just bought this: Swift Taillights ST01 - Portable Wireless Remote Controlled Temporary Tail Lights For Trailers
It doesn’t connect directly to the car and the turn and brake signals have to be operated...
Thanks, that’s also what I concluded. I had the Tekonsha kit installed in my previous 2020 MS and that worked to a degree. Installation however was a major effort as I elected to tap the 12v directly from the lead acid battery in the frunk rather than tap off the power liftgate as some others...
On towing have you managed to find a solution for trailer lights or do you just not use them? (I have a 22 MS with a hitch from a X but have struggled to find a solution for a trailer wiring harness).
I just bent the bracket using a pair of mole grips to allow the hitch to fit. I could have done a better job by putting the bracket in a vise and bending the top of the bracket evenly but I didn’t have a vise to hand. The top of the bracket needs to be bent towards the rear of the car. That will...
Yes, I had one in my last S. Very well made and fits well. I can’t remember whether I sold it when I changed cars but if you’re interested in it I can take a look a and see if I still have it. Just PM me if you’re interested.
That’s nice. I have a factory Model X hitch on my S, and have a 1-UP bike rack fitted most of the time. I ordered a spare cover like you (which came in bare plastic, unpainted and without the two plastic turnbuckles). When you get a moment you mind taking some measurements of the hole you cut so...
I like the clean install of the X hitch. The removable hitch with the key is well engineered as well and is neater than a bolt that’s used on aftermarket hitches.
How far are they off? I needed to offer the X bar up carefully to the studs on the car abs slide the hitch over the studs on both sides at the same time.
The bolts holding the drivers door to the hinge were also loose on my refresh LR S delivered a few weeks ago. I noticed because like you the door hinge was making a creaking noise. All 4 bolts were loose on the top and bottom hinges but I tightened them myself with a quarter drive socket set...
Thanks. I saw that post on what looked like a brake controller cable near the drivers footwell however reading on I thought I read it was either not the case or the harness was only present in early production cars. I think that’s part of the challenge - that Tesla makes multiple ongoing changes...
No, my sense is that the factory hitch from the S always fitted all versions of the S as can be seen in the pic of the black car. The clearance looks tight, however the hitch bracket clears the unused studs on pre-2021+ cars. The on,y thing I’d add for the pre-2021+ cars is that im not sure how...
I think you’re right that all hitches from the X will fit the refresh X. From what I understand - and thanks to someone on one of the S forums on Facebook - the new S (gray car in the attached pic) lacks four studs that were present on earlier cars (black car in attached pic). Looking at pics...
Getting the bumper off is fairly easy, multiple videos on YouTube of bumper removal on the prior S and this one is very similar.
From memory (and it’s a lot easier/ probably essential if the rear of the car is raised on stands and the rear wheels removed and plastic trim tools are used to...
Well I have some good news. The take-off hitch I bought from a refresh 2022 Model X DID fit my 2022 Long Range S. I only had to bend a bracket back on the hitch that was designed to hold part of the hitch wiring harness on the X and of course remove the rear bumper reinforcing bar which I didn’t...

Sorry, I haven’t yet. Away at the moment but will HP try to do so Tuesday when I’m back in town. Want to give you an accurate cost and not make money out of shipping.
Sold my 2020 LR Raven and picked up a 2022 LR refresh a couple of weeks ago. Multiple enhancements plus the software focus on the new cars with newer hardware coupled with currently strong used prices made the switch a no brainer.
Long Range Plus was from Jan 2020 onwards. I used to own a Long Range, 2020 MY November 2019 production car that had battery revision E. Range was 375 miles with 19 inch slipstreams. AFAIK Ravens started production in April 2019. It’s for sale here in case anyone is interested...
It’s not canvas, it’s heavy duty nylon but yes, it won’t fit the new S. That said I’d reach out to Canvasback and see if they can make you one. Canvasback Custom Cargo Liners
