Thanks for the write-up! Few questions, if you don’t mind: How easy/difficult is it to install emulators? And do the emulators work with a Bluetooth controller? How much did the display cost from Satonic? If you leave the phone hotspot turned on, will the display connect automatically every time?

Looks really good, actually. Can’t really tell that the rear glass only has the OEM tint unless you look for it. And it lets in enough light to not attract the police’s attention

True. For what it’s worth though, and this is purely anecdotal, but I believe Teslas hold their value very well. I leased a M3SR+ in July 2019, then sold it for $40k in December 2020 (long before the used car market ballooned). MSRP on my SR+ at the time I leased it was ~$42k.

No, the market is returning to valuing used cars correctly, as all the comments below say:

I did 20% on just the four door windows (and the triangle window behind the rear doors). I did not tint the front/rear windshield or the glass on the roof.

I've had a similar issue (rubbing/grinding noise when turning at low speeds) since taking delivery a month ago, and I've made a service appointment. Service quoted me a $150 estimate to repair, assuming it's not covered under warranty. Hopefully it goes away before my service appointment...

Yeah and this fog light kit is reasonably priced. But what I don’t know about and haven’t seen reviews for is the actual light output from these aftermarket fog lights (i.e., brightness, beams, etc.)

I use the frunk for my sweaty gym clothes and shoes. I also use it to transport fast food so it doesn’t permeate the interior. I close the frunk with my knuckles to reduce fingerprints

I think it’s more dependent on which trim you have, i.e., SR+/LR/P. I saw this video from RPM Tesla with a “second gen” fog light kit that does not require splicing into the signal on the fender:

Yeah I’ve seen them on eBay, amazon, RPM tesla, etc. But curious if yours is the first gen that required splicing into the turn signal on the fender, or the second gen that is completely plug ‘n play.

Tint is 100% necessary on the Model 3. It actually improves the comfort in the cabin with the shade it provides, in addition to the heat reduction

Hang in there. I know it’s frustrating, many (if not all of us) have been through the wait and push backs. But I promise that when you actually take delivery of your car, it’ll seem like all this waiting and agony went by so quickly. The car is worth the wait and putting up with the bullish!t

Update: just successfully paired a 2022 Model X key fob (never paired) to my 2022 M3LR. All the functions and buttons work perfectly. Did the pairing myself, literally took 20 seconds. Just followed the on-screen instructions in the “locks” tab in settings

checking in again now that I took delivery of my car and have the Taptes mats installed. Perfect fitment and great quality - they don't slide around, I don't see any coverage gaps, all-around great value for 3D Maxpider quality/look for a fraction of the price
