I have my appointment for pickup today at 3pm. I called ahead to put aside some mud flaps that I could install before I left, and they mentioned that they'd already installed mud flaps and PPF. Sounds like we're getting it for free?
Has anyone taken delivery recently and received mud flaps installed? I was going to pick some up in advance (for all 4 tires), but there's a note on some of the saying that some have been coming with them installed.
I ordered Oct 31st. EDD shifted from Dec 05-30 to Dec 10-25 to 14-20 and yesterday when I spoke to my advisor about bringing in payment on delivery, he scheduled me for Dec 18th at 2pm.
My wrap isn't until Jan 3, so it may sit in my garage until then!
I emailed my advisor today to let them know I'd be bringing a bank draft by on the delivery day and he emailed be back saying that they had the VIN (which I already had) and a specific delivery date and time: December 18 @ 2pm.
I know this is pretty far out, so I'll take that time with a grain...
It probably boils down to availability. Tesla is churning out cars as fast as they can to customers. I'm guessing they don't have spares right now for loaners. In about 3-4 years, I suspect they'll provide each service centre with many loaners.
Totally agree with you here.. I would be exactly...
I can't actually tell if you're being sarcastic. At least they didn't just send you to a rental company and make you rent a gas car! That's happened on my end a few times.
Order Date: Oct 31.
Original est delivery date was Dec 03-31, but yesterday changed to Dec 10-24
Reserved Model Y Performance (black/black, tow hitch). I switched over from an X reservation that I had from March, as I was tired of waiting.
I was looking at the purchase page for various Tesla’s today, and noticed that the model 3 has a check box for the standard range 3 which software limits the range to 110. This allows the car to fall under the rebate MSRP. After purchase you simply pay for the software unlock.
It would be nice...
I just handed over my 2013 MS to another owner today, so I have a pretty clear understanding of what the flow looks like.
I waited until the seller was there, and we performed everything together.
First, I logged into my Tesla account online and clicked on the manage button for my MS. There's a...
I had Montreal service not install my front when I received it. I just put the front plate on the front dash. I used a light sticker to keep it from sliding around until I got an under mount in the mail.
I ended up going through a ride program, and was just given a warning without the front...
That's a little ridiculous. I have a $0 deductible and one accident forgiveness on my policy for my rate. I would seriously suggest calling around to other insurance companies and compare rates.. It may be worth breaking your current insurance if your year term is not up. The only reason your...
I use Aviva as well, and my insurance for my MS is closer to $750 / yr. I'm guessing the variance is based on region. I know that rate groups are a combination of region, driving record, age, and car.
I couldn't agree with Doug more on this point. Montreal service has always been quick to get my car in and turned out quickly. The issue has only ever been parts.
I think I'm on month 5 waiting for a brake pedal assembly.

“Progress
Authorized Commitments (as of December 31, 2017): $47,000,000”
I suspect they're building these for those coming to visit Ottawa and not passing through. A more hybrid destination-supercharger model. To satisfy those folks that are "Hey, I want to visit my friends in Ottawa this weekend and I have no way to quickly charge!!" .. Now it'll be "Hey, lets met...
Not sure if this was already mentioned elsewhere, but the delivery estimate FAQ (before they removed it), listed the Canadian price for standard as $35,000 and the long range as $49,000. Obviously this isn't set in stone, but a great sign nonetheless.
I'm sure they have the logistics of Canadian importing / shipping locked down to a fine art. I suspect the Model 3 will not see the same kind of Canadian delays like our Model S saw in 2012 (which reportedly boiled down to the bilingual airbag warning?)
I suspect the 'late 2018' is a catch all...
Yup. I wasn't just reading about ghost mode in the firmware that is installed on this loaner. I have a sneaking suspicion that this car doesn't have EAP enabled. The only thing I'm able to do is fixed cruise control. No TACC.
So I just sent off my P85 for a 100k service inspection (more like 103k at this point), and just had a loaner dropped off. You can imagine my surprise when I received a 75D with AP2! The car is basically new with only 100kms on the ODO.
After all the paperwork was signed off, I promptly hopped...
Installed this update on my 2013 P85. Haven't been able to see any difference in the interface. Will post back if I notice anything. I never received that diag screen.
The 21s were great value only when they came included with the Performance package. I can't imagine paying any more than that considering the number of times I've had both flats and bent rims.
I do enjoy having the mini extruded map in the front dash when you have Nav running. It is for sure much easier to do a quick glance straight down between your hands than to glance off kinda to the right side.
It's interesting to listen to different perspectives and thoughts on the dash of the Model 3. Having lived with my Model S for over 3 years, I can say that I love the minimalist dash approach. I suppose moving from a traditional ICE with lots of gauges and indicators, that moving to something...
This was always presented in each event, even last night. Roadster: high cost, low volume to fund the S. S: Medium-high cost, medium volume to pour as much revenue into R&D as well as the gigafactory.
