Model 3 wheel covers full rim

I had heard that the trims were now available in left and right hand versions but I thought the idea was to put one type on one side of the car and the other on the other side not right hand on the front and left hand on the back but Its your choice I guess. 🤷‍♂️

If the rise in insurance is because of repair costs why isn’t third party cheap too?

I guess that would have changed things but its really just an example what happens when you have very little regulation and just "let the market decide" upto and including deciding which politicians to bribe donate to. They do of course have govt healthcare in the form of medicare and medicade...

If the rise in insurance is because of repair costs why isn’t third party cheap too?

US health care has caused the opposite effect on their market. The insurance companies demand huge discounts on prices from drug companies so the drug companies inflate the list price to compensate. which is fine until you are a person paying cash then you have to pay the list price with no...

Not as badly as the Republicans winning the election and pulling the EV tax credits will. Some even want to claw back those already paid!

Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

A bit of a non sequitur but if and when we resolve the technical issues how do we resolve the moral ones. e.g. You come around a corner and there is an idiot overtaking an HGV in your lane. You have three choices 1) swerve right and hit the HGV head on 2) brake and have a head on with the...

Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

There are also a lot of Pre-registrations out there. I bought a 1month old preregistered Fiat 500e with 10 miles on it for 27% off list.

Lots of people. I have some of a slightly different design

And superchargers are the even less interesting thing that supports the uninteresting car sales.

Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

That's the irony he was riding an electric vehicle. I called after him. "You know that thing's electric right?" not the snappiest comeback if I am honest. In hindsight I wish I had gone with "neither are you"

Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

I was getting into my wife's Fiat500e at the side of the road the other day and an old boy rolled past in a huge mobility tricycle ,looked me straight in the eye and said "They're not the future anymore you know" then rolled off. EV's still need better PR me thinks.

Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

This is the UK forum so I imagine most of us are currently trying to live in the UK Genuine question. What do you think is going to be the driver for the next growth phase? I don't think Juniper will make that much difference will it? The "model 2" would have been a big hit in Europe but that...

Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

Tesla was never every going to retain its market share but the idea was that the size of the market would go up so that a smaller market share would still equal greater sales. No one new what a blood bath China would turn into and Europe is basically forcing its manufactures to sell at a loss or...

    Home Charger Installation Questions

If you are getting an EV what you really need is a smart meter so you can take advantage of time of day tariffs like Octopus Go intelligent where you pay 7.5p per kwh overnight. I don't know the reasons your property currently has a pre-payment meter but Energy companies are incentivised to...

You are in the West Midlands. Shouldn't be too hard to find yourself one. Drop the drawbridge for a couple of hours and some will probably find their way to you.

Spare parts availability - 4 months and still no delivery date?

is it though? I seem to remember a breakdown on a Fiesta many years ago calculated the price of building a Fiesta out of parts bought from Ford at the Retail price and it was like £100K and that was years ago. Price of a car is restrained by what other manufactures are selling cars for. But...

    Supercharger team sacked?

I don't dispute that but they are claiming it was because she was a woman. A woman he presumably hired and put in that role in the first place. I am not saying he is not a misogynist but there appears zero evidence that her being a woman was a factor here.

    Supercharger team sacked?

Mystery solved  Zero evidence to back this up of course. I am not going to link to the "story" since I don't want to drive any additional traffic to the site

    Supercharger team sacked?

I have always assumed they would sell off the supercharger network one day. Charging is not likely to return the margins Tesla wants from a business so once it is all opened up and no longer a USP and driver of car sales and the transition to EVs is unstoppable it will have served its purpose...

RHD MY have only ever been made in China. If another factory shutdown to retool for RHD it would almost certainly get reported.

Dreaded Front Motor Temporarily Disabled Fault

Yes 8 years 120k miles. and if the fault is covered by the warrenty they should wave the investigation fee but it could easily be something else like wiring which is not covered.

    Fisker ocean - UK forum

They are called we buy ANY car. So presumably refusing to buy a cars could be used against them and would not be good PR. This is probably their way of saying no we don't really want your car.

Tesla Model Y - black Gemini wheel covers

Nice. All the early ones were uni-directional. I heard that there were now bi-directional ones. Though I did see an Ali Express advert once which implied they were bi-directional by showing both sides of the car and they looked right on both sides but actually they just flipped the photo on one...

Tesla open up the SuC network [in UK]

I have heard that before. Worst I have had is a 2010 low millage mini which was about 500ml per 1000 miles, Dealer told me anything under 1 litre was considered OK. The difference on a dipstick from full to empty though is only about 1 litre so I had to top it up about every 2K miles which was a...

Tesla Model Y - black Gemini wheel covers

if you get actually black Geminis ( which I have seen sold) they will look odd because there will be a silver rim all the way around. The after market ones that people a suggesting actually cover the rim so not only do they look better but they protect the rim, Though the clips can actually...

Tesla Model Y - have I made a huge mistake

No there isn't. Everyone uses cameras for Matrix LED headlights so there is nothing special about the new headlight tech ( welcome though it is). The current cameras though are not fit for purpose as rain sensors and never will be. If they could make them work they would have done it by now.
  40. Jason71

Dreaded Front Motor Temporarily Disabled Fault

Seen similar mentioned. Wiring harness issue or front motor failure maybe. One youtuber cracked a headlight got water ingress in the headlight.and that did something similar so it really could be anything. Just gonna have to wait for the service centre I think.

Tesla open up the SuC network [in UK]

Don't dipsticks usually run in a guided channel? Thus they cant really be badly parked. Also I find this fossil fuel based term to be rather anacronistic. :)

Duh. I charge a non Tesla at Banbury. Why would you not. Yes there are lots of other options but the Superchargers are about 20p cheaper and 1 minutes walk from a sausage and egg muffin.

    Model S (2019) vs Model 3 (2021)

I assume the M3 is a MiC one in which case Mic M3 vs Fremont MS I would imagine is going to go heavily in favour of the M3 on the reliability and cost to maintain front. Spoiler alert only one of them appears on this list. You can guess which one.

2023 Model Y A/C - is it me or is it crap

There have been threads and even you tube videos on this. But the air should be cool it just does not feel as...

2023 Model Y A/C - is it me or is it crap

I have never found it as strong as on my old non heat pump model 3 but its OK though. A lot of people complain that they cannot get the vents to point high enough on the MY to hit their face. I am not very tall so its OK for me but I have it on max height so If I was taller I think I could see...

Mp3 stuck at 16 amp charging after using public charger

and or get someone local to plug into your charger and confirm they are seeing 32amps.... I assume your home charger is tethered? i.e. you weren't using the same cable on the public charger and home so we can rule that out as not a common factor?
