What Percent is Your Tesla Charged to While at Home?

I wish people would stop obsessing about the battery. My LR rwd 2019 model 3 I’ve had since 27 miles on the odometer probably has degradation but frankly it works, gets my to road trips and all that and I charge primarily at home with supercharging few times a month. Reminds of macrumors posters...

How many [lifetime] miles do you have?

Checking in. 114k in my 19 LR RWD I should restate that I do wheel squeak at low speeds. I need to check ny brakes and lube things up and inspect the area before sending it to the service station. Also did my first mod and took out the wood panel to add CarPlay. All in all easy mod.

    DIY Filter Replacement Tips

People act like it's bad to do easy maintenance on your car. What happen to American DIY conquering hostile lands to reach the Pacific. lol Dammit I'll mess up my plumbing just so I can take a trip to Home Depot, then have leaky pipes and finally hire a pro.

    DIY Filter Replacement Tips

I like doing stuff like this on my car. It's an easy project and takes 15 mins for me to do, and most of the 15 is finding my tools. This special screw allow me to eliminate the hex tool and my small wrench. I will only need a plastic panel pry tool, and that it!

    DIY Filter Replacement Tips

its just makes it easy to change with out annoying tools. It doesn't improve filter efficiency or anything like that but as someone who has done filter changes in the last 4 years, anything to make it easier is worth it.

What Percent is Your Tesla Charged to While at Home?

Apparently 65% lol. There’s a Tesla charger near by and before 11am it’s $0.23. I started charging there once a week even though I have home charging because it’s way cheaper. I typically try to run my battery down to 20% and supercharge to 80%. When our solar gets activated I’ll charge there...

I just got this error today. I took a nap in the front passenger seat during lunch break and extended the back rest all the way down. Got the error immediately when I started the car. I figure it's a quality issue in how they place the sensors together. Thanks for this tread I have something...

Popping sound when supercharging at 250kWh

Ha! That happens a lot when supercharging. But it is weird but it's normal. When just driving in socal and the whether typical moderate climate, and charging at home I don't hear this.. it's pretty rare again only when driving and it's cold outside like under 40 F.

Effectiveness of cooling in the boot/trunk

I can’t imagine it’s horrendously different cabin temperatures. It might be a 5 degree difference but that should be ok for a dog. I grew up in a 1990 mini van with three rows and ac only in the front and we survive lol.

Finally drove a Model Y…it was incredible!!

I test drove the y performance last week. It was also Amazing. I love the look. My only concern is suspension comfort. I’m trying to erase the deficits I have with my model 3 with my next Tesla purchase if ever.

Tesla Model 3 Accident - Why didnt Airbags Deploy?

You realize Airbags are going to feel Ike mike Tyson at his peak just punch you right? They’re not fluffy pillows. So if you’re posting this and you’re fine and you didn’t hit anything inside the car consider yourself lucky. Airbags are gonna hurt like hell.

Mobile Charger: Do I need it?

I’ve used it twice an Airbnb when there were no chargers. It handy for those rare times. I would carry it if I know it’s a remote location. Other road trips where I’m in close proximity to superchargers I leave it at home.

Backed into by suv at 5 mph, complexity of repair (state farm shop)

Yah I was worried about the charge port but it seems like it’s ok. The suspension grinding on uneven surfaces worries me. I got a letter from the guys insurance so I’ll call tomorrow.

Backed into by suv at 5 mph, complexity of repair (state farm shop)

So State Farm representatives said the other part is 100% at fault. I was parked. They backed into me (all on video as proof). State Farm gave me an estimate. Are you saying if the repair cost more the State Farm quote, State Farm will charge the guys insurance the difference? I’ll call State...

Backed into by suv at 5 mph, complexity of repair (state farm shop)

Suv back into me at 5mpg causing 10k in damages. Incident caught on sentry mode. I was speaking to a Tesla certified repair center and they said State Farm rates are too low and given that, I may be have repair the car and pay the excess amount. There’s a weird noise when I drive over uneven...

    80K mileage check-in

I think my rwd long range needs tires every 40k for me. Our cars our way heavier and put instant torque requiring more tires than the regular ice car. Too bad cars needs tires haha also wipers are super easy very simple to do with no tools required and takes literally 30 seconds.

Odd Software Issue While on a Long Trip

Ahh Tesla bugs. Fact of life unfortunately. I one time had no screen working for 45 mins until several reboots on a road trip. You can’t open the frunk or glove box (thanks cost cutting) when the screen is dead or know your signal lights are on. Anyways yah.. Tesla rule alright

AAA saved my butt when my Tesla got stuck in the mood back in 2019. Saved my ass. Worth it to renew each year for $80.
