Vinyl, CD, streaming, legacy games (out of Investment Forum)

My go-to analogy is record stores when CD’s were first introduced. Started with one end cap with maybe 20 CD’s - Madonna, Dire Straits, just the most popular titles. Then maybe one aisle of CD’s among all the records and tapes. And we all know what happened over time.

    Muddy Model S

Was not sure where to put this, but this image just popped up on my Twitter feed, allegedly from Santa Barbara, CA, specifically Gibraltar Rd. Too bad. Hope the driver got out OK.

    6-50 to 14-50 Adapter?

On the trip we’re on, two of the folks we stayed with had 240v receptacles conveniently placed for charging. But they were 3-prong 6-50 receptacles, while all we have for 240v is the Tesla 14-50 adapter. No big deal, since we planned our trip around Superchargers anyway. Still, for next time, I...

Maybe Canada needs a few more Superchargers?

We’re on a road trip that has taken us into Ontario. Yesterday we saw that 5 of the first 7 nearest Superchargers showed waits: In the US we’ve only seen that “wait“ icon once before. To be fair, we have still never had to actually wait, though yesterday we got 1 of 2 available slots and the...

Blocked chargers, Clarion @ Harper’s Ferry, W VA.

We booked a room at the Clarion in Harper’s Ferry without investigating chargers. Once there, PlugShare indicated 2 Tesla Destination Chargers and two other chargers at our hotel. But reviews showed the chargers were mostly blocked by ”a tent”. Well the tent is gone, but 3 of the 4 chargers are...

Charge remaining at destination now (again?) showing

One thing on my wish list was to always have charge remaining at destination showing by default. Apparently it does now: Sorry if this has already been discovered/discussed. To be clear, until recently to get charge remaining at destination, you either had to, 1) Go the the Energy screen...

    Window Lock “Dog Mode”?

I’m pretty sure in prior vehicles setting “Window Lock” locked all the windows except the driver’s. In my 2022 M3LR it seems to only lock the rear windows. This is a problem if you have a dog in the right front seat periodically opening the passenger window, which is quite distracting. I don’t...

Tesla navigation - missing Superchargers in search?

Yesterday I was traveling from near Knoxville, TN to Tallahassee, FL. I had stopped at the Supercharger in Acworth, GA. After that, the navigation system wanted to keep me on I-75 to Cordell, GA to charge. I prefer a route to Columbus, GA, then US 27 to Tallahassee. When I input “Columbus GA...

Hit and run on brand new Model 3

Grrrr… Last night we were on the way home last night from a hockey game. As we stopped for a red light, a turning car swung wide and sideswiped the left rear door and fender of our precious new Tesla… And then took off! We caught it on a dashcam, and on the left side camera. Might be just...

    Wimpy USB-C Ports?

I’ve mounted a RAM ball behind the display and used a 2” arm to place my iPhone in what I think is an ideal position… For convenience, I bought a RAM Wireless Motorcycle Mount. When using a USB-C to USB-C cable to either of the console’s USB-C ports, it barely works, sometimes charging...

Help thinking through new Model 3 charging options

My wife and I should be taking delivery of a Model 3 LR in the next month or so. As background, we've been driving a 2018 Honda Clarity PHEV for over 3 years and now have about 62,000 trouble free miles on it. With an average of 47 miles EV range, almost all our local driving is all or majority...
