OT: Cost to Install Single Zone Mini Split

I’m seeking to reduce kWh daily use (and PW drain during outage) by cooling our bedroom w/ 12k BTU, 22 SEER, 230 volt, single head mini split. Two bids/quotes: Both about $9k. Product pricing for outdoor compressor, indoor head unit, and line set is about $1,500 (Mitsubishi) and under $1,000...

Wheel Nut Covers and Center Cap for 2023 Base M3 RWD

My daughter purchased one of the last RWD M3 at end of 2023. I’d like to surprise her with wheel not covers and center caps but can’t identify a good product. 18 inch Aero Wheels. Any suggestions?

PW TOU Price Settings for Buy & Sell

What parameters are reasonable to enter into settings for buy/sell behavior? I’m not necessarily looking to maximize return but rather avoid blocking buy/sell with matching amounts for buy/sell. Image shows current setting: my TOU rates, and my buy/sell parameters, all match. Is this a...

Can PW2 be scheduled to grid-charge at midnight?

TOU is setup through AP. PW2 will discharge at peak TOU (2-6 PM). However, PW grid-charges during mid-peak the next morning (6 AM), rather that at off-peak (12-6 AM). Can this default be overridden to maximize energy savings to always grid-charge at midnight?

Home charging M3 RWD at 48A on Tesla Wall Charger

Is it ok for my daughter to charge her M3 RWD on my Tesla wall charger at 48 amps or should the amperage be reduced when charging the M3?

Is Full State of Charge Harmful to PW2

Two PW2s installed yesterday. Very exciting time. I’m just learning how to navigate and understand data provided by App, and reading/learning plenty here too. I am on east coast and likely won’t draw from PW during off-peak hours because the TOU rate is only 0.062 and super off peak is 0.042...

    Powerwall Site Inspection Tuesday

After reading threads here on placement of Powerwalls, I wondered about the best location and how “stacking” is defined. Can 3 Powerwalls be “stacked” like a deck of cards or must they be “stacked” side by side? Garage is my preferred location but is it preferred/required to place Powerwalls...

Cost & Value: Sol-Ark vs. Powerwall

I am investigating back up power for my home in Pennsylvania after installing a 15.33 kW SunPower array last year. I come to this post without a reasonable understanding of the technology but learned a great deal over the weekend after posting about compatibility of SunPower with Powerwall. I...

    Is Tesla installing Powerwalls

I had read Tesla no longer installs Powerwalls if not bundled with panels. Yet Tesla webpage states as follows for purchase of two Powerwalls. Is this accurate or will I pay $25k and wait six months?

    SunPower Compatibility with Powerwall

After reviewing other threads, I have learned that I am quite unknowledgeable about my 15.33 kW SunPower system. After pricing out a generator for backup power last week (as recommended last year by my small/family/local solar installer here in Pennsylvania), I concluded a battery system makes...

24 Hours with Base Model 3

What a great drive! My S needed service. SC provided loaner, 2020 base M3. What a fun car to drive! Reminded me of my old 335i. I was disappointed when SC advised that my car was ready. Trying to figure out how to get my 23 year old daughter into a 3 so I can drive it.

    Adjusting Cover to Charger

Did not notice this minor detail during delivery on 6/27, or might not have been visible but cover to charging port is misaligned. Can this be easily adjusted by owner or better to schedule for service:

Typical Down Time for PPF, Tint & Ceramic

Outfit has had my 10 day old MS for 5 days, so far. He says ready tomorrow, Thursday latest. Is he just doing multiple cars at once or is this unreasonably. PPF front only.

Live Camera - Stealth or Not Stealth

2023 MS undergoing PPF, Ceramic, and Tint. When I use Live Camera to see work in progress, does car indicate Live Camera activated, or is it completely silent and thus stealthily done? Makes me wonder if cameras could be illegal under some circumstances

Ceramic Coating Package Options & Pricing

2023 MSLR is at detailer today for PPF, Tint, and Ceramic Coating. I intend to keep car for ten years but have doubts about higher priced product’s longevity and whether Fireball is a top shelf product given the price point. Question from installer: Morning Ben! Started on her nkw. Here are...

Need Help - Drag Strip Mode on LR

Brand new MS LR; 32 miles on odometer I tested out Drag Strip Mode, by accident actually. I was just pulled off onto the side of the road going through the set up process, and I came across a button for dragstrip mode. The engine started preparing for a launch, so I waited for it to finish...

    Tesla All Weather Interior Liners

Are Tesla’s weather floor liners the best product? I previously had a generic set picked up from Costco and was never thrilled with the fit. Probably paid $80 but ready to spend more for a good fit. Is Tesla’s product the best option at $250?

Tesla Vision & Notice of No USS on New Purchase

    Deletions on Current “Inventory”

I am torn between purchasing from Tesla a 2020 MSLR or taking advantage of the $7500 discount on current inventory. I understand tesla has been deleting sonar, parking sensors, both software and hardware. There seems to be some disagreement as to whether Tesla is removing use of the parking...

Testing 2016 P90D Battery Prior to Purchase

Will Tesla run diagnostics on 2016 P90 batteries? I’m in Pennsylvania, thinking about purchasing Model X located in Main. Or, are there other reputable outfits to inspect Tesla’s for online purchase, including battery health? If not, seems like a great idea for a startup company, no?

    Looking to Purchase 2016 Model X P90D

My 2021 MS might be totaled. Thinking about changing to X and a listing for 2016 P90 with 67k miles caught me eye. What are concerns, specifically with older ECU? Private seller has not answered question from this morning about number of miles he is getting currently on full charge. Does ECU...
