FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I must be in the 0.001% then. It was drilled into me in bus driver CDL training. And there was no reason to risk points on a CDL.

Clearly, speed limit signs are being digested. Else it wouldn't speed up to 50 mph after passing a Route 50 marker.

And another thing -- on a ULT, 12.3.6 was headed for a roadway that was under construction. I was coming out of the driveway from the south. All traffic on the formerly 3-lane road has been diverted to the newly added eastbound lanes, and the old roadway has been demolished for construction of...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

😁That's exactly what it did when a light turned yellow on me yesterday. It was like there were 2 little people in the computer fighting over whether it should stop or go. Made me think of those cartoons where there's an angel whispering on one shoulder and a devil on the other. To be fair...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Scary situation on 12..3.6 today. It was at what I call an Optional Protected Left Turn: the left turn signal has a green arrow and a yellow arrow, but no red arrow. The yellow arrow was lit when I entered the turn lane, and had gone dark by the time I reached the intersection. I expected...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

OK, I see the LEDs on my phone camera. So I don't know why it's not detecting me looking straight ahead. Maybe my eyes are too dark, or my lids too droopy, or it's because I'm sitting too far back, or something to do with the lighting on the freeway. 😕

Didn't someone say the driver camera had infrared or something, that could track your eyes at night? I drive mostly in the daytime, since my low light vision is not what it used to be. With absolutely no pressure on the steering wheel, I've had virtually no nags while driving daytime since...

    Amtrak Auto Train

I don't know, but I assume the drivers just leave the keys in the ignition, and would probably do the same with a key card. Maybe I'm wrong, and they know enough to move it to the cupholder and back to the transmitter area upon arrival. I'm wondering whether the steel shells of the Autoracks...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

12.3.6 slowed down to avoid a bird strike this evening. :) As it made the turn into my subdivision, a crow that was in the middle of the road flew up right in front of the car, and it slowed down to avoid it. I passed under an overhead School Zone sign with flashing yellow light. The car...

    Amtrak Auto Train

Has anyone taken their Tesla on the Amtrak Auto Train? Did the drivers know how to shift into Drive & Park? Did the car go to sleep with the key card left on the console? Was the car reachable by the app while in the Autorack?

This seems courteous, but is actually unsafe behavior if there is a lane of traffic to your left. The driver exiting the driveway may feel pressured to pull out, even though he can't see whether cars are approaching in the left lane (or a 2-way left turn lane.)

You must not be making many ULT's into divided highways.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

It does a terrible job in busy parking lots. In a parking garage, Navigation thought it was driving on the street outside the garage. I don't know what it would have done if I had enabled FSD, because it seemed like a bad idea to try it. This was exiting after an event, so traffic was...
