2024 owners: Have any of you yet received the FSD trial and subsequent update?

It's "supervised" Full Self Driving. Got it a few days ago

Would it be O.K to leave Model 3 unplugged for 5 weeks?

Seeing this discussion makes me think it would be nice if Tesla had a low power mode that disconnected all 3rd party apps and any non essential functions like sentry and scheduled preconditioning i.e. the absolute bare minimum.

    Free FSD for 1 Month

I tried it out this morning for the first time after getting the free month notification after the update. Initial reaction is it is truly amazing and amazingly frustrating both at the same time. I'm sure as I learn its quirks I'll feel more comfortable with it but when the month is over FSD and...

    Don’t overlook Tesla Store Events

Nice write-up @SMAlset I've wondered if these are worth going to but it sounds like it's a yes. At a minimum I always enjoy chatting with other Tesla owners. thanks for sharing

    What tires are you running?

I bought a set of Michelin CrossClimate 2 a few weeks back when I hit 21k on the odometer. I could have gotten a few more miles on the 18" OEM MXM4's but they had lost most their tread and with winter and snow coming I figured it was time. I drive a little on the aggressive side (love...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I always thought that's the perfect combination. M3P with 245/45 R18 tire. You get the best of both world's, upgraded acceleration and brakes with the smoothness of 18" tires. If this was a factory option I would have gotten it but I'm too lazy to sell stuff and didn't want to be stuck with $2K...

    Elon & Twitter

Elon Musk needs to go, he is clearly a loose canon that can not possibly run a company the size of Tesla right now with any competency. He needs an emergency IV infusion of humility. He is acting more and more erratic every day bordering on Howard Hughes type madness. The best possible thing...

    Elon & Twitter

Yes is my answer to the thread title. For years I was a fan of Elon because of his message of sustainability and extreme focus on making electric cars affordable and mainstream. I rooted for him and Tesla to succeed the way I do my college football team. He seemed apolitical which was good imo...

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

You definitely notice a difference! I didn’t get a confirmation that the update went through so I wasn’t sure if it installed or not so I took it out for a little drive and bam! There was no question at all that the update worked. However it’s not cheap and the car already is super fast so its...

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

I finally took delivery of my car yesterday. Other than a 4 hour delay from the original scheduled time due to the truck car-carrier having a blown tire everything else went smooth. Since I got dropped off I had to wait around but it wasn't that bad and I got a chance to talk to some of the...

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

That is an older order date without a vin for sure. I feel for you, I really do. Blue with EAP is a very nice combo btw! Keep us updated with your progress whenever that may be.

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

I would absolutely not buy a 3rd party CCS1 charging adapter but that's just me. It's one thing to buy 3rd party cup holders and floor mats but for something that is integral to the HV battery I'm sticking with oem only.

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Just got an automated call from Tesla confirming my delivery tomorrow. Seems like forever ago I ordered this car. Can't wait to finally get it! I think my office co-workers will be relieved that they don't have to hear me talk about the Tesla delivery process anymore after 4 months of daily...

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Although my kids are all teens now and I didn't have a Tesla back then, a seat protector is essential! We always had one beneath whatever baby/child seat they were in at the time and when you take them out and see all the crud in them you'll be glad you used them.
