    Cybertruck is a scam.

Yeah, but who cares? If the cost of maintenance is too much for you to afford, then the vehicle is a bad purchase. A 911 and a Model 3 are apples and oranges almost across the board. Yes they both have four rolly round things at the corners… However, if we are making decisions strictly on the...

    Cybertruck is a scam.

I do not road trip the Tesla. The first year I got the car I was doing a 350 mile (each way) drive 2-4 times a month for work. I figure that’s pretty atypical, as most drive to their office and back 5 days a week. But no, I never road trip the Tesla for pleasure. I have other vehicles I prefer...

    Cybertruck is a scam.

I do 99% of my charging on private chargers (work mostly and very occasionally at home). I guess I’d just assumed this was the case for most EV owners…

What do you think is causing the limited tow capability of the new Cybertruck?

I was working in the Cambria, CA area for about 8 months. The tongue on my brand new travel trailer started to bubble. Had to blast and repaint when I got back home. The salt air is real.

What do you think is causing the limited tow capability of the new Cybertruck?

I’d hope the ones they have as a display at the dealer are mint fit and finish. Probably have their A-team doing QC on those. I wonder if the other pics posted here with terrible panel gaps are representative of the average CT going out to customers. Crazy your FJ was that bad. Is that model...

Look at the person noticing the horrendous panel gap by the front corner. Lol

What do you think is causing the limited tow capability of the new Cybertruck?

I have a slide in camper for my 4x4 long bed Cummins. The truck is on 35” ridge grapplers and got about 17.5 mpg on the freeway doing 75mph. It can get 19-20mpg with nothing in the bed. With 60 gallons of fuel I have over 1000miles of range. I also have a 3900lb dry (closer to 4500lbs with food...

    Cybertruck towing discussion

If you think manufacturing and disposing batteries and solar panels is good for the environment, you are delusional.

    Cybertruck towing discussion

Next year I’m going to buy a Conestoga wagon to drive with my oxen. I’ll have all the fun.

    Cybertruck towing discussion

Anyone who bought the hype that a CT will out haul a modern-ish diesel doesn’t understand towing. Where does the fifth wheel/goose neck hitch mount? In the unibody? Yes, you can tow a small bumper pull, but you won’t come close to the capability of a modern ICE truck. They can tow 37,000+...

    Cybertruck towing discussion

    1) buy a practical truck 2) put fuel in said truck 3) carry on

    Cybertruck is a scam.

    Seems low maintenance…

    Cybertruck is a scam.

From my perspective, what we are seeing here is the luster of the company being worn thin by too many misleading statements, poor customer service, sub-par build quality and other variables that are leaving a sour taste in people’s mouths. Based on my customer experience, I for one will not...

    Cybertruck is a scam.

Just don’t open your Tesla app while they are “calibrating” your cameras. They were doing over 70mph on surface streets in mine. Weird thing is, I don’t recall having to do that the day I drove it off the lot…

What do you think is causing the limited tow capability of the new Cybertruck?

This is a curious statement… both towing and acceleration favor short (numerically high) gearing. Example: in a truck if you want a good freeway rpm you want a taller differential gear such as a 3.42. This will lower freeway rpm but acceleration and the ability to get a load moving will suffer...
