Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I did not mean to imply that. Had the pricing and range been anywhere close to the original numbers - adjusted for inflation - I’d either be in a CyberBeast right now or eagerly awaiting delivery of one. If 500 miles of range (est 250 miles towing) means sacrificing much of the truck bed...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

For reservation holders, I think the problem might extend beyond simple frustration. I know at least one reservation holder that is foregoing the CyberTruck based not only on price but on range and features. And that one reservation holder - who I know intimately - is now considering a Rivian...

Of course they need to maximize profits. But sometimes the way they chase short term profits can alienate potential customers and negatively affect long term prospects. But it’s a balancing act, and time will tell how successful their strategy proves to be overall.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I do have an issue with it. Given the proposed release prices at the unveiling, it smacks of “bait and switch”. Quite literally. I understand there’s been inflation. But the size of the price increase makes it border on opportunistic price gouging. It may turn out to be the best course to...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I was thinking along those lines. “Crab walking” could be useful for getting into tight “parallel parking” situations. Similarly, a vehicle capable of rotating about its vertical axis could prove invaluable for a robotaxi that found itself unable to go forward but didn’t have space to turn...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

We recently bought a used Toyota Tundra from a local dealer. Saw it online and just wanted to check it out. Drove home with it about 90 minutes after the test drive. We were in our 2011 Ford Flex with transmission issues, and got a reasonable amount in trade for its condition. No financing...

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

“Lost in America” is our favorite Albert Brooks film. At one point the main characters have to resort to fast food employee and crossing guard. Highly recommended.

Great! We’re still in love with our 2022 M3LR after 57,000 miles. My avatar is the day we picked her up in Feb 2022. Enjoy!

I am frankly shocked by how stunningly ugly the Cybertruck is

    I thought that was obvious.

“She may be ugly, but she sure can tow!”

That’s enough of a derail. I only posted because I hate to see motorcyclists derided for their life choices.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

At 74, I still love to ride, albeit a bit slower and more cautiously than I did in those heady days of youth. I moved to where I live now due primarily to the wonderful motorcycle roads in the area. Been riding for the better part of 60 years, and I’ll continue as long as I am able. As far as...

    Cyberbeast Fail

Does your state have a Lemon Law? P.S. - there are other threads on this forum for general CyberTruck bashing. Let’s try to keep this one targeted on this member’s issues. P.P.S. - Not to be cynical, but some photos or documentation would certainly lend credence to climbyun’s problems.
