2024 Model Y with Tow Hitch, Low voltage brake voltage not present.

This is about the four pin pigtail in the front for trailer brakes, but it is odd an electric car maker can't figure out how to supply an aux voltage to the 7 pin.

I recommend having alignment checked on any new Model Y. Also - recommendations on front camber kit?

I heard about some tire wear due to alignment on new Model Ys so had a trusted local garage that aligned my Model 3 after installing new adjustable coilovers check it. For the 3, I had to purchase adjustable front and rear camber arms from MPP. I was expecting there to be a little play on the...

    AP/FSD related crashes

Agreed. Clear day in the middle of the day would be fine (except you don't want to go airborne from crossing a railroad track), but you have to worry about deer and farm equipment in addition to fog in the mornings and evenings around sunset. 60 would feel too fast for me.

I'm not sure if I saw your video or not. Can you post a link here or message me with it? Thanks!

2024 Model Y with Tow Hitch, Low voltage brake voltage not present.

I see where you were misunderstanding now. That's referencing pin 4 of the 7 pin connector next to the tow hitch: My issue is with the 4 pin trailer brake controller harness next to the driver's footwell (at least in left-hand steering cars). As a side, they have instructions to access that...

    AP/FSD related crashes

I find it so interesting how FSD behaves differently even in the same state. I drive between Norwalk and Tiffin and with Auto speed offset enabled, it drives between 53 and 55 then ramps up to 67 mph at times, which will definitely get you a speeding ticket from OSP. Regarding railroad tracks, I...

2024 Model Y with Tow Hitch, Low voltage brake voltage not present.

The frustrating thing is the nearest appointment is over 4 weeks out and it's a 1.25 hr drive for me to take it in. Mobile service was not an option (even when I requested the pigtail originally). I'm guessing then there is no easy fix to save this trip. I'll just keep using my accessory voltage...

2024 Model Y with Tow Hitch, Low voltage brake voltage not present.

I had looked in the manual prior and requested the 4 pin pigtail connector, which the service center supplied to me. 1. Where in the manual is it? It's not in the area pertaining to the attachment of the pigtail connector 2. I don't think stingy service centers are going to give away even a $2...

2024 Model Y with Tow Hitch, Low voltage brake voltage not present.

I checked the voltage with the wiring harness behind the driver side access panels and there is no voltage at the pins of the female receptacle. I had plugged in the harness pigtail and didn't get voltage. I also checked continuity of the red and black wires to the pins. Service mode showed no...

100% range on new Model Y LR with 3 miles on it calculates to 301 miles

For what it's worth, if they had lowered the advertised range to 304 prior to purchase, would it have impacted your decision? For me the answer is no. The question is - is this actually for all Fremont and Austin cars or was there a batch of cars that had some defect resulting in a lower top...

100% range on new Model Y LR with 3 miles on it calculates to 301 miles

Not true with regards to displayed range. My 2018 Model 3 Performance still showed the rated range 8 months after purchase at 100%. More info from Tesla's website:

100% range on new Model Y LR with 3 miles on it calculates to 301 miles

First, I want to mention that I suspect this range mismatch with EPA is probably not an issue as N..8 has pointed out that TeslaFi models used to compare to their car and for me, the 5 models used to compare to mine, all show similar ranges. Also, I haven't seen any responses yet showing 310...

100% range on new Model Y LR with 3 miles on it calculates to 301 miles

I supercharged once to 100% to see if it would adjust my range up and now I've lost 3 miles of range, except for the charge to 70%. That one increased my range. The mystery of the BMS....

100% range on new Model Y LR with 3 miles on it calculates to 301 miles

It's really strange that they wouldn't ensure the BMS is calibrated to show 310 miles (EPA range) on the main mileage on delivery vehicles, leaving us to wonder if there is already something wrong with the battery. My 2018 Model 3 was 6 months old and had 4600 miles on it and still showed the...
