Brake service by Tesla certified mechanic only

Maybe this is about the fact that you should burnish the brakes after replacing brake pads and/or brake rotors? But this can be accessed via the Menu -> controls -> service menu.

Brake service by Tesla certified mechanic only

Never take your car to a Tesla SC unless you have no other choice. IMHO any competent shop can do brake work. I live in Georgia and just for fun I looked up a brake service on the Pep Boys website for a 2016 Model X, the “Premium” service is about $230. I suggest you shop around. Good luck!

    14-50 requirements

Also It is cheaper! Mobile Connector $250, GFCI breaker $150, Hubbell or Bryant outlet $80, Cable organizer $35 = $515 Wall Connector $450, standard breaker $15 = $465 Of course your prices may vary. The wall connector supports any 240v circuit from 15a all the way up to 60a and is...

    14-50 requirements

If you install a 14-50 it should be on a 50a circuit unless your breaker box could not handle a 50a circuit. Also make sure he did not install a cheap outlet, you need a Hubbell or Bryant outlet. These are designed to handle the continuous loads of EV charging.

New Tesla Owner - Facing negativity

It is not negativity, it is ignorance and jealousy. Handle it as such.

Clarification on EV parking and towing at businesses with free charging and no explicit restrictions

This statement is more true then you might think. As noted above, enforcement is solely up to the property owner. If you see a violation all you can do is complain.

Phantom Drain Can be minimized/ controlled

This does not make sense. A model Y will lose about 1% / week if Sentry and overhead protection are off. For example, on a recent trip I left my car at the airport for 2-weeks and it lost just 2% (started at 79% came home at 77%). If you are losing 4-5% over a few hours something else is amiss...

    GFCI

This is not permitted; EV circuits need to be dedicated. For clarity, the GFCI protection in the TWC and UMC are there to protect the connection to the car. The GFCI in the breaker box is there to protect a wall outlet, therefore, it is required for a 14-50 outlet and not for the TWC since...

    GFCI

In the case of the MC, while it does have an internal GFCI the outlet still requires one (by code). If there is a GFCI tripping problem this is a wiring / grounding issue. The only way to avoid a GFCI breaker is to use a hardwired solution, such as the wall connector.

    GFCI

    1. The GFCI breaker is required by code 2. You must also purchase a 14-50 outlet that is designed for a continuous load, so this will run you about $80 or so, 3. You will be better off buying a wall connector which willl be cheaper and is far more capable, Approximate prices: Mobile Connector...

    GFCI

A GFCI breaker is not required, and should not be used with hardwired units, such as the Tesla Wall Connector.

When to Change filters and Clean Evaporator coil

Assuming your car has the heat pump HVAC version there is no “season” as the heat pumps runs year-round either heating or cooling. Thus: Clean the outside coil whenever you wash the car. Clean the coil in the interior filter compartment whenever you replace the air filters. The source of the...

Does Tesla let you roll negative equity into a lease?

You should carefully read the early termination section of the lease. You will probably have to make all remaining payments in order to terminate the lease.

PLEASE HELP MODEL S WONT START

Problems with the 12v battery cause all kinds of problems and generate all kind of alerts. If tightening it down solved the problems you should be fine. BUT, you really should be using a 12v lead-acid battery and you should get that from Tesla parts. At the very least it will take the LV battery...

    Schedule charging not happening.

If someone is using a wall connector they can set the allowable charging window there and not bother with the car at all. This works very well.
