You can lease a BMW and then buy it out and take the full $7500 credit. You can't do that with a Tesla...their interest rate is no obnoxious it basically negates the federal rebate entirely, and of course you can't buy out period.

"Plaid" can just be a brand. Like when the 3 series gets the M treatment...doesn't mean an M3 and M5 use the same powertrain or have the same power.

I think it's actually the warm up. I've noticed the same thing. If you have a short commute (and even over hundreds of miles), your energy efficiency ends up being really poor because the car needs to warm itself up.
