Correct, Powershare was enabled in the 2014.14.x update that was recently released. (And I think most Cybertrucks have.)

RFP EM-008-2023: DC Fast Charging Stations – Phase 4

Why are you surprised? Unless the Medway Superchargers are open to ALL CCS vehicles, i.e. MagicDock, and has special software to guarantee 150kW on at least 4 stalls it isn't a NEVI compliant site and can't be taken into account when determining where to place the NEVI funded sites. (Being a 6...

HELP! Model S Won’t Charge at Supercharger

I would check to see if the control pins are shorted on either/both of the fast charge contactors in the HVJB. And if it is, check again with it disconnected. (Is the contactor the problem, or is it the wiring that is the problem.) Details on the pins here: Tesla Model S GEN1 Rear HVJB -...

Did Tesla really lay off their entire Supercharger staff

That would apply to few OEMs right now, as pretty much only Lucid, GM on their trucks, Porsche, Kia, and Hyundai have 800V vehicle. But I would assume that they are far enough along in the process to switch to J3400 that they wouldn't throw that away and start over, just as the CPOs are about to...

HELP! Model S Won’t Charge at Supercharger

The only thing I found for that code is this: CHG_f012_hwFastChargeDriver So it sounds like you need to check the wiring to the fast charge contactor for damage. Is it possible you got another bad HVJB?

    Power Conversion System (PCS) failure

They may use them in refurbished packs. I would think that the only way they would send them to be recycled would be if they couldn't be reasonably repaired. (Maybe the new version is significantly different.)
  15. M

    Power Conversion System (PCS) failure

What makes you think that Tesla doesn't repair them?
  16. M

Model 3 is completely dismantled for an estimate, Now Un-repairable.

What did you sign when you took it in? (What did you authorize them to do?) Yes, but not initially. Normally they just do a "no dismantle", or very light dismantle, estimate, and then that estimate goes to you/the insurance for approval to proceed with a dull tear down to get the real estimate...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Sure, I get that, with the V11 single stack that FSD started to be used on the highway and count in the FSD usage stats. But are you saying that people are now going to suddenly turn FSD off and use basic Autosteer/NOA on the highway? Or why would the mileage go down if they didn't upgrade...
  20. M

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Why would it change? The people using FSD on the highway will continue to use FSD on the highway, even after it transitions to the FSD V12.5 stack. You wouldn't put AP mileage into a FSD usage statistic, even if it used the same NN.
  21. M

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I'm not sure that updating Autosteer/NOA is even in the plans. You want the better performance of FSD, subscribe to it... What incentive? Of course, FSD will likely be safer, so maybe they will at some point, but I don't see any strong incentive at this point. (NHTSA seems more worried about...
  22. M

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

No, not more cameras, just different positions. Looks like it is to simulate for a shorter narrower vehicle.
  23. M

    Power Conversion System (PCS) failure

All three modules are part of the single PCS module. So if you get one replaced, you are replacing all three.

Costco now has a Tesla Semi

I'll just say that given one of the delays for the Tesla Semi was lack of available batteries, having extra packs sitting around doing nothing waiting for a Semi to come get a pack changed would be bad. As that would mean fewer Semis could be built and on the road. And we need as many on the...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

It seems like deployment of the Spring Update, 2024.14.6, has finally started going out to a larger group, including 22 vehicles that were on 2024.3.25. I wonder if those were vehicles that let their FSD trial expire, such that they are moved back to the "main" branch, or if this will be an...

Crossing a solid white line is discouraged, but not illegal. If they want to prohibit lane changes they use a double solid white line: https://dmv.de.gov/forms/driver_serv_forms/pdfs/dr_frm_manual.pdf I'm not sure where everyone gets the idea that it is illegal to cross a solid white...

    Waymo

It looks like this Waymo got charged with some high-proof electrons: Surely, any human would get pulled over for driving under the influence if they drove like that. It appears that @diplomat33 may be correct, and that they abended their HD maps, but don't have the replacement fully...

Imported US Tesla in Eurpope - NACS to CCS

It is wrong. There was a period in mid-2021 where the CCS chip was in short supply so Tesla put charge port ECUs in the vehicles without the chip, as such they have no CCS support. (There is now an official retrofit to replace the ECU.)

No, it is not. It is still ~16V. (And people have reported that it fries some radar detectors.)

Cybertruck in Accident in Olathe, KS

I thought Tesla was limiting people to only one Cybertruck. So, they may not be able to replace it for years. (Other than buying on the used market, which is what their insurance should figuring payment for.)

    UK FSD Discussion

You are missing that FSD is now an end-to-end Neural Net. There is no coding/setting of g-force limits. It is all trained by example videos showing how it should drive. As far as requiring map data, FSD doesn't require it, though it is an input to the NN when it is available. (From what I have...

Discussion: Powershare [V2X feature currently announced for Cybertruck]

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I wonder if things have changed... Dealers get kickbacks from the finance companies. Someone at work recently leased a Rav4 Prime with the intention of immediately buying it out. (Just to get the $7,500 tax credit they otherwise wouldn't qualify for.) The dealer told them that if they don't make...

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

There have been multiple reports that that is exactly what happened, like this one:

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Nobody said they deserved to be canned. But if you have to reduce staff size you normally don't fire your best employees.
  40. M

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

We don't know that for sure. They could have a deal with a finance company to split the costs of the interest rate discount.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The only thing I can think of is that Elon figured that if the director thought that insubordination was acceptable, that maybe she built/ran the team like that, and the rest of the team might refuse to follow orders as well. But that is a lot of assumptions.
  45. M

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

The new detail, as far as I had seen, was that she was given a second chance to do as directed. So, it wasn't just a knee-jerk reaction from her initial refusal to follow directions. Sure, she did. She could have let go the extra 4%, or whatever the number was, and the rest wouldn't have been...
  46. M

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Here is a report from someone that knew a Supercharger team member: It seems like the division manager tried to call Elon's bluff, and he wasn't bluffing. I get that Elon could have handled it differently, but so should have the division manager. She went all in with the jobs of her team, and...
  47. M

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Same as always: Tesla employees and contractors. (And yes, they will likely attempt to, or may have already, hired back some of the employees that were let go.) Or do you think that those ~500 employees were the only employees Tesla had that could possibly get work done?
  48. M

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

As he said from the beginning, he never planned to stop expansion. It appears that there was just a team that wasn't working like he thought it should, and the director/manager was pushing back and refusing to address his issue. So, he stepped in and started making changes.
