Ohh I’ve never noticed it when pulling forward, definitely seen it when reversing.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

The car graphics look a bit sharper, I’ve been out and about today and maybe it’s just me forgetting stuff but it looks neater. Can anyone whos software is lower than 14.8 confirm whether or not the forwards facing tyre lines are there? It’s doing my head in haha. Also, the nav icon looks...

This is the non slip mat stuff I put under the dog seat, and in the boot on top of the rubber mats to stop stuff sliding around. When I’m not using it I just fold it up and put it in the Sub-trunk thing.

    Supercharger - Keith SA

Yeah it was a bit average the last few times I’ve gone thru there. Agreed, the other bakery or coffee place is better, it’s a bit of a hike so last time I dropped a passenger off to order while I went and charged. I usually don’t need much of a top up there so by the time I’m done they are ready...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I guess me hotspotting to Telstra (after waiting weeks on Optus) and getting the update notification straight away I think 3 times in a row now could be coincidence, but if the telco made any difference starlink would be at the top of the list! Remember when phones would be offered their OTA...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Out of pure interest, is your home internet that the car connects to via wifi with Telstra? If not, do you have a work phone or something you can hot spot to just to test with.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

So I got home, checked for updates via my home wifi (Optus). No update. Connected to my phone hotspot (Telstra), bam, update. Being that I have only had updates now when connected to Telstra I’m seeing a theme here…

Australian Model 3 Highland experiences, tips, tricks

So I took off at the lights on the way home, it was a bit wet, I had to “manoeuvre” around a slower moving object in the other lane. When I let off the pedal I felt like a little thunk from underneath. I’m not used to driving rear wheel drive cars in the wet, could that have been wheel slip? Or...

It’s quite a low boot and tailgate yeah! Windscreen wipers were ok on the way home today. I was stuck in traffic and they kept going in auto so I flicked them to off and just pressed the steering wheel button every now and then. Gave me something to do. Such a nice place to be, I’ve found...

    Superchargers in Australia

Yeah all makes sense but also the tests and trials would have been much earlier than the delivery dates. You will eventually, maybe not when the car is loaded on the ship at Shanghai, but eventually at some stage everyone that I’ve seen here has received an email saying that their car is on the way and on a certain ship. It’s an automated process. Can’t remember if it’s before/after or the same...

It could be but I’m pretty sure that value on the left started at 0 and climbed to 32 as it sat around 21-22 for a bit then kept going. I’ll try and get back there in the next few days if it’s of interest.

It would be awesome to see some chargers at Southgate Plaza and Hallett Cove shops. Then, as we catch up to the eastern states, chargers at the beach car parks at Christie’s, Port Noarlunga and then Council Libraries at Aberfoyle park (The Hub), Woodcroft, Seaford, Aldinga and maybe Willunga...

Ohh and all chargers use the chargefox rfid card or the app to start/stop. I was able to stop the charge via the Tesla app for the 2 faster chargers, but the BYzo cable type 2 could be started via rfid but needed to stop via the chargefox app. Not sure if that’s normal. I kinda didn’t want to...

My steering wheel had the creak come back, I adjusted the angle of the dangle and it went away. At first I thought it was to do the aircond blowing hot air on it making it expand but it’s still a bit of a mystery. When it’s cooler, it doesn’t do it.

Just check it this morning if you could remember? My screen stays off but if I go into climate, rear it turns back on.. Maybe my dog seat cover is doing it, I’ll try taking it out and see if that’s causing it (could be). The front fan is noticeably quieter with the rear AC off.

Australian Model 3 Highland experiences, tips, tricks

Has anyone found a way to keep the rear AC turned off? The screen turns off if it detects no one is in the seats which is awesome, but the AC stays on. I can turn it off from the front screen, but next trip it turns itself back on.

It should just sit there but another option is to get a short but heavy duty extension cord (don’t get a cheap thin one) and use it to lower the UmC to the ground or a table. If you know a sparky get them to make one up for you with decent conductors and plugs. If it’s just 10a you should be...

I just put some of that non slip mat stuff under the dog seat cover thing, seems to work well stopping it sliding around. I might see about fixing it to the underside of the cover, but I’m pretty certain I’m too lazy to do that so it will just stay how it is :)
