It should be on during driving if conditions are met. You can't switch it on manually, there is no way to switch it on, even from Toolbox3 on legacy Model S and X (but you can do it on Model 3/Y and i think refresh S and X).

are you sure those are not just plaid HL ? Tsportline sells those AlphaRex NOVA-Series 5x LED Projector Headlights I'm not sure they look as good, but from what i see, cutoff line and light is much better.

They told me that plaid HL are very slightly different in size, that's why there is a gap, but I'm not entirely sure.

Guys from EVO sent me a pic on how it looks on legacy S, panel gap is not great...

What is the difference between those two, except matrix part? Do both have projectors? Or premium is the same reflector type as on legacy S ?

Did you manage to find anything in the end? The only ones I found so far are infinities mentioned above. I think sound deadening for doors should help too. I don't want to replace amps, just too much hassle and i doubt it would make too much difference, but I'd like to find a drop in replacement...

You're replying to a wrong person, i didn't use those abbreviations, neither I do really care what they mean. It is a design flaw, whoever make it I don't really care and it is very bad that tesla just replace those charging customers a ton of money.

Yeah, they'll replace air struts for 1.5k with the same flawed ones which will start making noise after few months

Do you know correct torque it should to torqued down? Also I think it might be worth adding a washer or use flanged nut to clamp it better. PS. it would be nice for everyone who applied fix to report back how it goes after some time.

Hi, Yes, they replaced the screen and instrument cluster. It took 2 days. They didn't give me anything, loaners only for a warranty work the said.

I wonder, what are the drawbacks of just leaving those braces disconnected. How much they really affect handling?

Thanks, Unfortunately it doesn't work in any mode: defrost/preheat, even with sentry enabled... PS. I had a awful experience with them, they scratched my dashboard, newly installed glass had scratches on insight and now this... I bet wiper area heater also doesn't work...

Thanks, yes i did open the case, but they didn't respond yet. I'm on latest fw. I'll try to test it next time it freezes. There is also chance that Autoglass, who replaced the windscreen recently didn't connect it or something.

I have model S, this morning it wasn't cold enough to test, so maybe tomorrow I'll try.

I wouldn't worry about it in this specific case, eMMC has controller in the same chip as NAND, you can't separate them to cool one or another. Also, I would disregard this video completely as it is not relevant to real world use of NAND.

I think you need to remove heatsink to find eMMC. But i'm not sure if it is worth upgrading it. The only reason why would you upgrade would be increase in eMMC performance. For example, tesla probably uses v5.0 or even older eMMC versions, but just upgrading chip to 5.1 will should improve...

You're right, I just found pictures of MCU2, there is no daughterboard, anyway, upgrade is still possible, the same way soldered laptop CPUs upgraded &RAM etc. Should be doable and should work, of course the biggest question if it is worth it or not. It is a shame Tesla doesn't make it more modular.

I think CPU/GPU board on MCU2 is also a daughterboard, I wonder if someone can make upgrades for it, shouldn't be too complicated to replicate PCB, component and fit more powerful CPU there, maybe even newer generation intel Atom. They an sell it for a nice premium since there will be no upgrade...

As far as I can see, the only CPU upgrade on MCU you can do is upgrading to Pentium J4205, it has significantly higher turbo frequency on CPU and GPU. The only problem can be, Pentium does not support ECC memory when Atom does, I'm not sure what RAM is used on MCU2.

Is this update not rolling out for MCU2 cars? I have MS MCU2 and I'm still on 2022.44.30

Yeah, unfortunately you can't really trust tesla SC, they're clueless most of the time. There is HW3 in my estimate, but i had another one for the same car it it didn't have HW3, it even had a different PN and different price for the same "Infotainment upgrade" i've requested. So you can see...

But how do you check it? What is the part number for it in invoice? Is there. a way to check it on a car itself without disassembly ?

I mean visualisations you mentioned, can you take a picture to see how different are they? Also is there a way to confirm HW3 is being installed or not? They’re upgrading mcu tomorrow, so we’ll see soon.
