The videos show the cars parking but the little red dot is at the point where the occupant exits. I could have missed a parking car setting it off but it is usually a person exiting a vehicle.

I considered using pin to drive but if the screen fails, there is no way to start the car. If you're really worried, use the key card exclusively.

Never had a car that was parking activate it. The exiting occupants can set it off though.

Ok, thanks. So in my case it was a problem with the Tunein service only. I have experienced cases where Tunein and Slacker were both down but I suppose that there was a problem with whatever service (Tesla ?) provides LTE connectivity with the car.

Just a thought; the vast majority of cars out there are pre 2024. I would think that Tesla would be working to get the latest FSD versions and other features to those cars too since they will be the most visible cars out there for some time.

I tried all of the settings on back street stop signs today. I saw no difference using the assertive' setting. I then tried a straight run on a highway with a lot of traffic lights. I didn't detect any difference, chill, standard or assertive.

I've had similar experiences. As long as I have FSD, I want to learn as much as I can. I am going to try the 'aggressive' setting with back street stop signs and see what it does.

I saw some cones today. When returning home, no cones along the same route. They seem to appear and disappear. Otherwise, I'm not comfortable using it. As you point out, it doesn't detect bad spots on roads that I would normally take evasive action to avoid.

If you don't set a destination, doesn't FSD act similarly to Autopilot? When I activate FSD on a limited access highway, it performs just like Autopilot, except, if traffic slows in my lane, it does a lane change on its own. Otherwise, I see no difference between Autopilot and FSD.

Yes, it will. The car sometimes is too fast, in some situations, for me too. You can try putting the car in chill and the FSD on the less aggressive setting and see what happens.

Totally agree, The trial FSD visualization almost appears to be an overhead view and I can see cars all around me. I like it better than the blind spot camera view feature; may even turn it off so as not to distract me.

I get the impression from this thread that all Tesla owners are getting a free trial of FSD with this update whether they requested it or not. Is this the case?

I forgot to add that I was using TACC when this was happening. I tried signaling many times but no camera views appeared. When I turned off the emergency flashers, camera views resumed; everything was back to normal.

In my experience, the blinker stays on if there is a painted left turn arrow on the pavement.

You can apply the emergency brake, while the car is moving, by pushing in and holding the button on the end of the shifter.

The red blind spot warning on the camera view is an improvement but it needs an audible warning tone so it would not be necessay to look at the screen.

I know matrix high beam headlights add or decrease light depending on the presence or absence of other vehicles. Does this mean that they can be left on and that normal low beam headlight use will no longer be needed?

I've always gently pressed the stalks on all the cars I have driven; just the natural way I do it and never gave it any thought. I must say that the soft press and rebound of the M3 stalk is very nice and has a quality feel to it.

Reminds me of the issues with unfamiiar passengers attempting to open the door for the first time. I have to run around to the other side of the car to show them how and then instruct them about using the button to exit.
