Your car will get a notificaton of an update using the car LTE and display a "download" symbol on your screen. If you open your app and wake the car, the app will show when you have a software update ready to download. But you will have to be connected to wifi for that to happen. You don't...

It is certainly a good charging experience, but then there is now nothing until Tebay or Scotch Corner and vice versa. They are both sites that tend to be rammed at Bank Holidays so you need to be aware and consider alternatives!

I think the answer is NO. I also think your perspective possibly needs a little modification. I think you will find that you are not "stuck" at all, but comfortably sitting in the middle of the vast majority of UK owners. As the .14 branch appears to be a bit buggy you are also sitting in a...

Gretna update. Talking to a technician about the delay I was informed that they had discovered an earthing problem with the installation earthworks and it would require resolution before there could be progress. In Abington last week and still just the diggings behind the fence.

Tesla open up the SuC network [in UK]

Over the last two years I have seen some non-Tesla EV's arrive at a SC and just plug in and expect it to start charging as that is what they have seen the Tesla drivers do! They are probably the same ones who have little knowledge of planning a route or even how non-Tesla public chargers work...

I am going to guess that it was only a US thing where employment is “at will”, or more “at whim”. In the UK and EU the employment law issues will usually run against this type of mass dismissal without cause, so I would not be surprised to find that there are still some folks resolving issues...

    Regular maintenance

Ignore the tyre rotation - it is an American thing, hence why it is referred to as "tire rotation". Ignore the caliper lubrication. Not necessary. However, once you get used to "one pedal driving" and get more experience of Tesla ownership you will realise that you should give the brakes a good...

    Highland Cables

Here in the highlands, I can confirm that the Type 2 cable and the granny charger were delivered with my car. They deliver them throughout the rest of the UK too. There is no change to this arrangement with the updated Model 3. I presume your query is because some posters from the USA have...

    Home charging

Another vote for the granny charger. It will charge at 2kW - the same as your kettle uses. It will equate to 10mph charging speed. More than sufficient for your use as you could put in 120 miles overnight. The ones at your work could be 7kW or if 3 phase you could get 11kW (because your onboard...

Barnsley SC appears to have a problem with both chargers. It has only 2 x v2 chargers and I was there this evening, arriving with 2% so expecting a fast charge as there was no other vehicle to share with. Only got 65kW max on one charger and so at 20% moved to the other thinking it was an...

People regularly report that when there is a light update that the car may self-level and if on a slope there are often reports of issues that then need to be recalibrated when on level ground. Not speaking from personal experience so can't vouch for it. I just mentioned it because it is your...

You will know if you have a signal as the wifi will show green. If it is downloading then you are ok. Once downloaded it will invite you to install on the app or in the car. Only do so when you are parked and not needing the car for 30-40 mins. Also park on level ground if possible. The car...

    Retrieve Old Error Codes

Tesla have a "car wash" mode that the car should have been in and should show in the vehicle data. For example see here: https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/model3/en_us/GUID-65384C1F-86F2-44E8-A8BC-8A12E7E00A40.html

New Tesla showroom in Belfast and SC issues

Was at the Belfast SC yesterday where one charger (out of 4) was not working and was blocked off with cones. See my earlier post of a few weeks ago, I visited on 17 Feb to check. Dashcam - help me understand its use

I used to have it set to “save on honk” but changed it after watching a video where a user encountered a problem. You want it to record an incident as your record for evidence. If you set the navigation to that location that is one of things that it already does. What might be useful is to set an arrival % power remaining. That is what I work out using ABRP when it is important.

    AP speed limit changes

You got the answer to the question you asked - but perhaps you actually asked the wrong question! :D There is a way to set a maximum speed that the car can travel at - details in the manual. There is not a way to set a variable speed limiter - as you are used to in the Merc by a push in on...

They were working again by 5pm yesterday. I must say it was the first time in over two years that I have had range anxiety. I was aiming for Newbridge from Scotch Corner to arrive with 10% and saw them go offline as I was hitting the Edinburgh bypass. I did an immediate 3 mile divert to a...
