If you are trying to use Google Voice via data only (VOIP) the Premium Connectivity plan in all Tesla vehicles does not support the in car LTE connection as a hotspot option for any mobile device (phones, tablets, etc). You can use your phone as a data connection for the car to use however.

The frunk latch assembly has been redesigned from the early 2020 models. Maybe you got a bad one. I would have Tesla service replace it under warranty and move on. There isn't anything you can do to "protect it".

There is a thread here, about four years old now, that has a couple options. The best one is a probably a strap around the front passenger seat upright to help get in the back.
