update for us troubled 2021 refresh peeps. been in contact with alpharex since i got the tail lights last week, they were nice enough to come to my house this evening and install the needed resistors. everything works well now. here’s the resistors.

you’d still need to modify the ebay pieces to fit the charge port and the mounting points. it involves melting and separating your oem tails and using those parts on the new lights. or you could drill new holes in the body of your car. that’s why evoffer ones cost so much, they did all the work...

it’s really a cost thing. evoffer has a really nice retrofit kit but it costs twice as much and yes does require coding still. it’s also rarely in stock now.

yeah i kinda have a feeling they’re just gonna say not compatible with 21 refresh. there are probably only a handful of us and i doubt they’re gonna want to put money in r&d for it.

all they said was it’s a known issue but didn’t actually mention if they were actively working on a solution for it. he just said they might need to make a “new converter” for it. yeah i doubt they will delve into coding since that’s not very user friendly

update: well i did everything you guys suggested and luckily it worked. so much thanks to everyones contributions. recap, i shut the car off from menu, disconnected both batteries and reinstalled the old tail lights. when i restarted the car everything was good. keeping the old tail lights on...

correct, i got ballsy at work and hastily did a reinstall. it took less than 5 min and all my settings remained.

yes the front can easily be done by just jacking that corner up to create space between the wheel and fender for you to reach in and remove the link. the rear will require you to jack the corner up and remove the wheel. once the wheel is removed you can easily take the link out. but yeah i...

yeah your settings are backwards. typically people start off with 5 front and 6 rear. the rear is usually set one setting more to accommodate for the rake. give 5/6 a shot it should solve that for you

havent messed with it since last night. i did shoot alpharex an email to see if they could tell me where to plug each harness. honesly its an easy install if they gave the instructions for the wires. i tried plugging in the harnesses a few different configurations and no avail..

was spooked with messing with messing with the chargeport. so what i did was removed the 3 nuts holding the tail light, pulled it out slightly and removed the 3 t25 torx attaching the chargeport door to the tail light. once you do that the tail light is free. although when installing the new...

if you’re talking about the trim piece that overlaps over the tail lights (old style tails) it will not work. if you have talking about the one that doesn’t overlap it will work. but these tail lights do not work on 22+ refresh.

rigged one side up just to see how it looks. decent fitment but i have no idea how to wire it up. came with some harnesses and a long wire to connect inner to outer tails. i need to reach out to alpharex for some kinda guidance. no instructions were included.

well i ordered mine direct from alpharex, not sure if tsportline got their shipment yet. but i would imagine they’ll be getting it anytime now. maybe cancel the order and order direct from alpharex. they ship the same day you order and mine are coming in today.
