I have auto heated front seats but the rears are manual. The car can detect if someone is sitting in the back so why aren't they auto heated?

In a recent update an icon is now displayed when an app requests the car's location - However, it seems to be there almost permanently. Sometimes it disappears for a few seconds and then comes on again. I'm using the official Tesla app and Tessie on my Android phone, is there a default setting...
