Model 3 Performance (Highland) - Now available in Canada

The new Model 3 Performance, despite the rumours about it being called Ludicrous or whatever, is apparently now available to order in Canada for $69,990: https://www.tesla.com/en_ca/model3/design#overview I have a 2021 M3P. Probably will be looking to upgrade since the Highland has a quieter...

    371 Wh/km (600 Wh/Mile) consumption in the deep freeze

Real cold snap here. Like really cold. Saturday was -36°C and was like -52°C with the wind chill. If you ever wondered how a Model 3 can handle the cold - it does VERY WELL! Today was a balmy -32°C when I left for work and -28°C when I left the office. This is my 3rd winter with the Model 3 so...

    NEW Model 3 Highland review!

Got to admit I was surprised to see this already but here it is on CarWow. If 678 km is true I might be trading in!

Windows no longer roll up when cold

Recently got a recall notification for Canada saying that the force sensor for the windows was set too high for Canadian standards so the force before the window reverses was reduced. OK no problem, right? Now that it is -25°C or lower the windows are no longer closing when the door is closed...

    Model 3 Snow Mode

Just saw this today and wow finally! The Model 3 was not a great car in the snow because it would lose stability on the rear under regen. Seems like it's been fixed! This is exactly what I needed.

Looking for real world winter consumption values

Long story short we have to travel to see family at Christmas. They live 250 km (160 miles) away and there is zero charging infrastructure on the way - not even a 14-50 outlet somewhere I could add a few % to the car. I've done the trip several times since getting the car and normally arrive...

Really Frustrated with Auto High Beams

This is not my first car with auto high beams so I am shocked at just how poorly this is implemented. It's getting darker earlier now (got the car in April) so not really driven it too much on the highway at night but I did this weekend. The high beams turn off like 3 seconds before a car is on...

    Blacked out hood emblem

I picked up my M3P a couple of weeks ago. First item on the agenda was paint protection film and a ceramic coating w/paint correction. Looks pretty amazing now and I am very happy with the results. As part of the paint film on the front, the installer removed the Tesla badge to do a proper job...
