Model Y Reverse UFO Sound Change/Disable

Then you lose a lot of features. The only one I really care about is the custom lock sound. The reqt is 56dB at 2m (~6ft). I feel like it's louder than that.

Model Y Reverse UFO Sound Change/Disable

That can surely control the volume though. Plenty of EVs don't get as loud as Teslas do. "Section 3(a)(2) further states that the regulation “shall require manufacturers to provide, within reasonable manufacturing tolerances, the same sound or set of sounds for all vehicles of the same make...

Model Y Reverse UFO Sound Change/Disable

If I muffled or cut off the PWS, I'd lose my fun lock sounds. If rather have this issue remedied than bandaided (literally). I'd like a 1x disable that resets every trip for safety. Plenty of times I want to back out of my garage without waking neighbors, don't mind the reverse sounds any...

Why does the new 3P get the Spaceballs badge and the LR S does not

    Don't plaids have 3 motors?

    My 2023 Model 3 got totaled :(

Ah, and the 7 seater seats go further back. 1" more leg room for 2nd row, so that likely eats into recline, too

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

You do exactly what I do, same daily miles and everything. I hope in a few years my car is an outlier, but realize that's likely not going to be the case

    Turning signal button "stuck"

FWIW, the stalks on both my 21 MY and 23 M3 are spotty sometimes. I don't think it's a switch issue, i think there's something in the software that's busy doing something else some times and doesn't "listen" to the switches. They work a majority of the time, but there have definitely been...

Model S Plaid: All-Seasons and performance (0-60, 60-130, traction, etc.)

I rarely chime in on stuff like this (i don't even have a plaid). But I've taken a fair share of cars to the track and have run in cold/ heavy rain. I second that DWS 06s are great tires. I plan on switching both my Teslas to them as soon as the factory tires go. I think Continentals also...

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

This is the best graph I've found over the years that shows the oM3P (o for: original... old... OG, whatever). I think around 75% power starts falling off. Then again, some of that could likely be adjusted in software and who knows what Tesla does, they're so opaque.

    VTOL Supersonic aircraft

Electric planes advantage are noise. They sacrifice performance for low detectabiliy. See "Great Horned Owl aircraft". Or for high altitude, long endurance "pseudolites" like NASAs pathfinder. Conventional planes get lighter as they fly which directly affects range. With electric...

    My 2023 Model 3 got totaled :(

??? That's weird. The recline is on the lower side (the switch below your thigh), not up top like the 5 seat. If yours doesn't, that's a new change as far as I know

    My 2023 Model 3 got totaled :(

You still get a reclining second row (and 1" more of leg room) with 3rd row. You do lose a little bit storage area.

2024 Model 3 Performance Announced - Discussion thread post announcement

Dang! You dropped 0.5sec off the M3P just with weight reductions?!? How much weight did you lose?

2024 Model 3 Performance - Bellevue, WA showroom pictures

I thought so. To the point that I'd actually consider retro fitting them if it's possible to keep at least seat heater/ airbag functionality.

2024 Model 3 Performance - Bellevue, WA showroom pictures

I just measured my 23 M3P. It's identical. Same with the front tires. Rear tires on the 24 are wider, likely due to more powerful motor. My friend recently got a Highland (long range) and those seats are ridiculously more comfortable. I'll bet the performance ones are even better
