Tesla sales continue downwards trend in Europe

It seems to mostly be related to lingering anger about his Twitter buyout which seems to have inflamed certain people so high it is completely skewing their Tesla viewpoint. I was just having an FSD conversation with someone yesterday and the "skewing" makes it impossible to have a logical...

    Model 3 without daily charging

Make sure Cabin Overheat Protection is set to "OFF as it may default to "ON" BTW this has nothing to do with protecting your car engine/electronics..just a comfort perk so when you get in the car it isn't hot.

    Model 3 without daily charging

My car is outside 24/7 plugged into a 120 VAC and I'm more North than you and I had no issues charging it during this past winter...however it is plugged in whenever I am home...which may not be the case for him. I just passed 1 year in ownership a few days ago. Boston temps very similar to...

    Model 3 without daily charging

As people have mentioned Sentry Mode is going to kill you...and if you disable it you are going to be perpetually paranoid. You probably wont be able to bring yourself to disabling it. It's at least 5% a day. 5days*5% = 25% drain for a car basically doing nothing.

Installer recommends an electric garage heater. Is it necessary? I’m in the Chicago land area

I once heard heated garages during wintertime rusts out cars (and other metal objects) faster by raising humidity levels and causing condensation. Edit

Same here. Always parked outside. Never an issue

Can the Tesla charging cable be used in the rain?

So I'm thinking of upgrading my receptacle to an industrial grade one so it can more handle the abuse of things being plugged/unplugged. I have two receptacles on the circuit with the GFCI button one not being the receptacle i plug the car into...

Can the Tesla charging cable be used in the rain?

I think 14 is a bad idea. I have a 25 foot 10 gauge and even that makes me nervous. You have both a length and width issue. My Mobile connector has to stretch to the max (as in clotheslining with wire strain) to reach my car at the nearest point i can park it...that's why i'm forced to use an...

Can the Tesla charging cable be used in the rain?

I'm sure the main reason they warn you is because there is no way to stop morons from using $2 16 gauge extension cords which will cause a fire. I actually have a 10 gauge not 12. I'll rewrite the post. 10 gauge is way thicker than the wiring that goes from your electrical box to the 120v outlet.

Can the Tesla charging cable be used in the rain?

So you have the same concerns I did when seeing those holes and then thinking about all that could go wrong having an expensive unit exposed to the elements. If you are using the standard 3 prong adapter: 1) Buy a super short 10 foot 10 gauge cord like this one on...

Driving around with FSD v12 in Moldova from a salvaged US Tesla Model Y

I think this proves Elon Musk's assertion that FSD is generic enough to even drive on roads outside of North America pretty well.

Are we underestimating what features Tesla could leverage with the cameras + AI

Can't guarantee all countries have that. Yes, this is about gathering data nobody else has. Depends upon the local speed. It may not necessarily be as small as you think. Obviously for FSD training the cameras are uploading clips from cars and I can also watch youtube easily all day on my...

    Rattling noise 24 model y

I have a rattle way in the back of my 2023 Model Y. I think it is the strut for the trunk.
