Who cares about the future? The Model S Plaid is already the EV version of the Classic American Muscle Car. A big engine in a passenger sedan chassis. Short of adding compressed air rockets it's at the limit of how fast you can make a production street car.

I tried the rubber band around the windshield and roof and it helped but kept coming out so I cut the rubber band and used it on the sides and siliconed around the windshield. There's still some wind noise but it's significantly less.

Other than some wind noise my windshield is perfectly fine. There's nothing I would be claiming on my warranty. No waves or distortion If it gets hit by a rock then my insurance would cover it. This fix is nothing that would cause any warranty issues.. When I got the car from Carmax it had some...

. The piano wire would maybe take a little more effort to cut the seal but the silicone is not hard and the seam I didn't promote it with primer. You would have to clean out the silicone but that's not hard.. Then re apply it after the windshield glue dries for 24-48 hrs. I see my pictures ok...

To save money Tesla doesn't use moldings around the windshields. On my model S Plaid I filled the channel around the windshield with black marine silicone and it helped a lot with the wind noise on the highway. I went over it twice.
