    CyberCab / Tesla Robotaxi Discussion

The sheer idiocy of even *considering* a vehicle with no controls absolutely boggles the mind. Tesla isn't even the leader in autonomous driving and Waymo's still require controls for some tasks. When you throw on top the fact that their vision only plan simply cannot ever work for full level...

    Luminar’s largest customer: Tesla

More and more people are starting to realize that their current tech stack will not be suitable for full robotaxi autonomy. But it isn't 8-10 years it will never be suitable, there are just too many problems. Also keep in mind to function as a robotaxi will require level 5 not level 4, you...

    Politics - Quarantine Thread

Actually no that's not correct. He is just anti the radical ultra far left and the only other choice is Republican. Being anti-terrorist in this country now means you're a republican with how off the rails the Democrat party has gone. That doesn't make Must a right winger, he is still a liberal.

Non truck use cases for CT (or any truck)

Absolutely, the only thing that the CT really cannot (realistically) do is tow but no EV truck can tow because of range issues. Barring the upcoming Silverado of course because it has so much more range. So its really pretty simple, if you need to tow, don't buy an EV. If you don't need to...

Non truck use cases for CT (or any truck)

The vast majority of pickups aren't used for "truck" things. From wikipedia: 87% use for shopping/errands 70% for pleasure driving 28% for personal hauling only 7% for towing. So the "truck things" narrative is just an overrated misinformation story. The CT fits the needs of over 90% of truck...

    CyberCab / Tesla Robotaxi Discussion

Tesla's current FSD 12 is either level 2 or 3 automation. They need to be level 5 for a full robotaxi. How is anyone so gullible as to think that this is anything but a publicity stunt? (Mind you i'm not even talking about how with the current hardware stack level 5 isn't even possible.)

March of 9s: The Beginning of the End

Its amazing to me that people actually think full level 5 ie robotaxi is even possible with the current hardware. Just goes to show that PT Barnum is alive and well in this thread.

    FSD now $8,000. Who's buying?

I passed on FSD for $1k years ago, no reason to waste money on it now.

    Super Bull Future TSLA Valuations

Y'all are looking at this the wrong way. You are looking at what the usage and impact of robotaxis will be without actually looking at the bare reality. Robotaxi (full level 5 autonomy) will *never* be a reality with Teslas tech stack. Elon is just selling hope at this point without any basis...

    Germany bans Cybertruck

There is literally *no* difference in pedestrian safety with the Cybertruck and any of the other millions of heavy trucks on the road. Zero.

    Cybertruck is a scam.

    1. Oh please, ct on Mars is ridiculous and a pipe dream. No sane person actually thought that to be true. 2. Not click bait, a lot is rail dust but rust *has* been happening as well. 3. Not click bait, real world tests with actual objective numbers are not click bait. Try living in reality...

    Cybertruck Rental in Dallas

Just saw a 3rd listed in Flower Mound at 656/day. I figure about 5-10 more show up on there and the price will come down fast.
