Model Y tow bar electrics not working

Pins 1-8 are wired in, which control the lights. So they should be working with the Tesla towing electrics, no matter which revision you have. If your caravan lights aren’t working, you’ll want to make sure things are working on both the car and the caravan.

This would fit with the far more detailed FSD visualisation. Almost all cars now show up whilst before I would only get the nearby car or two. Also, cars jump around far less and seem to do the fading in/out thing rather than materialising in different places on the screen.

I’ve arranged for a mobile SC as I’m guessing it’s already dying. It was a warm day, but this was in the evening, so not blistering at the time it failed to open.

I’ll admit I’ve scrolled through a few pages as I’ve been busy and all that, but just adding the disclaimer in case this has already been mentioned and I’ve missed it… With 2024.14.6, has anyone had issues with the powered boot? Yesterday, our boot flat out refused to open. The cinch motor...

Does anything need to be changed software side to enable a DIY added OEM trailer wiring module for Model 3?

I’m confused by your post. What is it you want in writing from Tesla? That you should not install the tow bar and it may invalidate your warranty? How would that assist you and how would they “renege” in anything?

This is the official line for pre-Highland M3s. The towbar had to be factory fitted and then they would plate the car with a 1000kg tow rating (910kg for earlier models). M3s that didn’t have the towbar fitted at the factory have a 0kg tow rating. There is no official retrofit so Tesla will...

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

Leaving “Charge to add” at 100% all the time, irrespective of how much charge your vehicle actually needs will eventually lead to you attracting the attention of OE who will likely stop you from gaining any extra slots. You are abusing the system.

The main positive of using the Zappi integration (aside from it being more reliable) is the way it plays nice with surplus solar charging. You can just plug in and it’ll charge off surplus during the day and the remainder of what you asked for overnight. If you’re happy with the reliability of...

    Boot opening

Only from what I’ve read on here (and my own car). The O ring is to stop water ingress into the powered strut. It’s quite a lame “recall.” The earlier recall was to do with the pinch point on the wiring harness causing this to fail. Two completely different issues. Sounds to me like they...

Here's how to charge with 32A commando in UK

Depending on the circumstances, DNO needs to be contacted beforehand or notified after the fact. Here’s the flowchart they have provided. https://www.energynetworks.org/assets/images/Resource%20library/LCT_Combined%20EV%20&%20HP%20Process%20v5.5.pdf

Sounds like they’re weaseling out of the recall. Also, the O ring was for powered struts that came later. 🙄 If you have the energy, I’d recommend a small claims court action to recoup the costs based on what has already been covered here.

    Boot opening

I would be asking them to look into that further. The O ring was for the powered strut on later models. I have a feeling you’ve been done over on this one and the issue you’re suffering is the exact reason the recall was put in place.

Didn’t you say you only had the harness recall carried out a few months ago? I’d be pushing that and saying the harness recall is at fault.
