Charging at Airbnb with Dryer Outlet During Colorado Road Trip

I’m guessing they were figuring in round trip plus charging and rounding up. It feels like that when on vacation anyway.

Nice that it’s charging! I would also think slow would be best.

Charging at Airbnb with Dryer Outlet During Colorado Road Trip

With that and a high quality regular extension cord and regular adapter you should be fine. The problem with dryers in many houses is the distance from the car. You need a high quality heavy gauge extension cord that has the proper plug/socket. There are extensions that can go on the Tesla...

If I’m looking at a map correctly, that’s not far from Poncha Springs supercharger?

2017 M3 left for 2 years! what steps should I Take?

Model 3 is super easy to swap the 12v. Put in the new one, see what charge level it says for the main pack and if there are any errors. Then report back. If the screen doesn’t come on or the main battery is dead, disconnect the 12v so it doesn’t drain.

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

As you mentioned last. Moves to Texas. Makes political contributions. Takes it to the new Texas business court with political appointees.

Should cabin be hot when charging?

Well, you did ask if you should keep the climate control on. :) But some of the charge going into the battery gets converted to heat. Heat will have a tendency to rise. But I believe the bigger part is the computer under the dash. While it does have a cooling system, the computer can take a...

    Battery Fuse Replacement 2016 Model S 90D

That’s good. I’m just surprised to see 2016 now because my 2017 s100d gave the warning almost 6 months ago (and was ultimately replaced for free).

    Battery Fuse Replacement 2016 Model S 90D

Wonder if they moved this warning to after warranty after they were pushed into covering it under warranty.

    I'm stuck on software version v10.2 2021.24

What is the month the car was built? It was only cars sold early 2017 that had transferable free supercharging. They changed to current owner only unlimited supercharging around March/April 2017. So salvage status may not apply.

    Charging Status in Tesla App

Teslafi is a cloud based data logger that I use. They all work about the same way. The app polls the car at some interval (think 20 seconds or so). If the logger decides the car is idle, it will stop polling for 10 minutes (or so). That allows the car to fall asleep (if it’s tired). Then the...

Finally got my FSD trial - Major school zone issue

I don’t believe this is true. There is no learning that takes place in the car. Tesla may grab disengagements and blend those into the data set to train the next version.

battery fuse requires replacement soon? what is this?

Sure. They can open it up and check. But if it’s a fuse that doesn’t need to be replaced, it really should be free.
