FSD 12.4, Vision Attention Monitoring, and IR LEDs

It sounds to me like you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how cameras (and our eyes, for that matter) work. They don't capture every possible wavelength within the visible spectrum (or beyond it), but instead only capture the intensity of 3 specific colors, Red, Green, and Blue. These...

Who referenced LIDAR in the FSD class action?

This is meaningless without far more context. Who is LoSavio? Who exactly is representing Tesla in claiming that LoSaivo's car, in particular, obviously needs LiDAR it does not have? Is that person an authority on autonomous driving at Tesla? Or is it a lawyer? Or Elon?

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Well, there's at least still the update preference, advanced/standard, as far as I know. So that's one input to whether people want to test the latest and greatest or just want it when it's stable

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

It was indeed intentional, @JHCCAZ interpreted it correctly, and explained it effectively (hence my affectionate reaction to that post) :)

Un-Protected Left. Unprotected Left Turn. Chuck's Unprotected Left Turn. When Has A Tesla Ever Veered Extra Right.

There, there. Don't let their affect affect you.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Somewhat off topic from the exciting v12.4 news, but I've noticed an odd behavior today on FSD v12.3.6, that I'm pretty sure never happened before today, but I observed it four times throughout the day today, despite not having installed a new update. Specifically, it seems to have started...

Tesla: Highlights from our upcoming Spring Release below

Well for one thing, my 2018 model 3 has an entirely manual trunk, so unless they wanted to just have it auto-unlock the trunk without me needing to press the button, there's not really any meaningful way to implement that change on my vehicle.

Tesla: Highlights from our upcoming Spring Release below

Please tell me there's still an option to have the map (including satellite view) mostly full-screen like it is in the current version of the UI?? Definitely hoping they didn't throw that away just for the pretty AP visualizations! If they did then I guess I just need to hope that I don't get...

What's your odometer at? Who's gone the farthest?

I'm curious about how those that've had a model 3 for a long time and driven it a long way have been fairing. Like how the battery holds up in the multi-thousand mile range. So far my 2018 model 3 is at 75,000 miles, and still going strong, but I'd love to hear other's experiences! Back when the...

    Pause Trip-A/B odometers

I also don't see the point in limiting us to 2 resettable odometers. I have one used for "lifetime" (well, since FSD computer upgrade, anyway), limiting me to only one other trackable trip. It takes virtually no additional memory or processing power or anything, why not allow arbitrarily many...

Tesla: Highlights from our upcoming Spring Release below

Teslas's got us so spoiled with updates, my previous car never got a single update (other than maybe behind-the-scenes recalls at service appointments), but I'm also sad to see that I'm not going to be getting many of the latest and greatest features anymore. They offered a retrofit from the...

The CCS ECU and Combo 1 Harness Retrofit is now free?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've already gotten the official retrofit, the price wasn't bad considering it comes with the CCS adapter as well, and that I wanted to have it pretty urgently (for a roadtrip to see the eclipse). It worked well and has earned its keep in that way!

Tesla: Highlights from our upcoming Spring Release below

Personally I finally feel like the current version of the UI has been perfected, they resolved all the issues people had with it when it was first added. Even the notorious auto-wiper problems have become far less frequent, and we're able to turn them off again. Not a big fan of the redesign...

    Validation Prototypes (VPs)

Off topic from the recent discussion, but all the links in the original post from @TEG seem to be broken, either going to the forum list or an "oops, we could not find that page" page. Could those be edited to working links (or maybe archives from archive.org if needed?)
