Water in Doors After Rainstorm

I have seen discussions on trunks having water in them, but on two occasions I have had water in my doors, at least I think that is where it was.

I left my car at an airport for a week. I know that it rained while I was away. Upon return, when I opened up the front passenger door, water poured out from somewhere, I assume it was from the bottom of the door. Fast forward a month or so later, same circumstances, only this time water poured out from the right rear door. It was pretty much the same amount.

Does anyone know why this would be happening, or if I should be worried about it? I can not even imagine how the water would get inside the door. If the window was part way down, I would think that the water would go into the car, not down into the door.

I am just assuming that is where the water came from, as I didn't physically see where it was coming out from.

Thanks
