No help to you but you and other recent posts about water in trunk makes me want to check my trunk now. Just washed this weekend with a new pressure washer and have not opened the trunk.
Definitely some kind of liquid damage. What you need to check is if you wash it (ideally with a pressure washer) if any water gets inside, i.e. if it's something they can clean or if the car is actually leaking.
Seen it before. Check your lower trunk well. See if its damp. Its a chore to remove the trunk inner liner. Take it to an SC for help. Consider yourself lucky if you caught it when its only damp and has not turned moldy yet.
I noticed the same thing in mine. The shape seems to follow the lines of structural reinforcements. It looks like lines left over from the injection molding process.
Wow, that’s fascinating they have the exact same pattern almost. I bet @banned-66611 is right. They look like they were stacked in a hot warehouse or staging area and got stuck together for a while. @Raphymartinez mine was a late March build so likely our trunks were hanging out together awaiting assembly. I took delivery the day before you.
