Uni of Queensland EV Charging Study

UQ has published a YouTube video with some of the results from its EV charging study.

The study gathered data from participants via the Teslascope service. Participants got a free Teslascope premium account if they enrolled.

I participated and I think a few others here too.

So about 850 Australian Tesla drivers were involved.

It goes for a bit over an hour, but worth a watch that I won’t try to summarise.

Good video, and glad to see the incentives worked.

I was one of the renumerated non-solar participants and did try to shift my usage.

They probably could have done more to remind people over the program (think I only received one update).

And wasn't totally clear whether I was missing out incentives by only charging a handful of days a week.

Nice. I got 2 year subscription to Teslascope and a $60 voucher, mostly for not charging during the hours that they didn’t recommend.
