Greg Reichow, Tesla's vice president of production and one of its highest-paid executives, and Josh Ensign, vice president of manufacturing, will leave the company. A Tesla spokesperson confirmed both departures and said Reichow will remain until his replacement is found.

Ensign gave a really interesting talk at TMC Connect.

Tesla always had high turnover because of the working conditions, but it's kind of ramped up recently... especially at the higher levels of the company. A little troubling.

Speculating that Elon asked the two VP's to increase 500K Model 3 production by 2018. When the VP's scoffed at the demand Elon said...."ok you're both fired, I'll do it myself."

The turnover at the high levels of Tesla management is troubling. The pressure there must be brutal. One can only work so much, sacrifice so much. But I still want my 3!!!!

Which would almost assuredly leave a bean-counter in charge of Tesla, as bean-counters almost always take over once the founder leaves (to the detriment of the company).

I am thinking the release of the Model 3 will probably be delayed. Not saying by a year and a half, like the X. But probably at least 6 months. Just a gut feeling.
