The main story is that if you want to accelerate like a scalded dog, then you need a lot of power--hopefully this will illustrate using data both with and without roll-out. Just collected some data and plotted it out, comparing the ideal physics requirement with no losses (aero, friction, energy conversion loss) and the reality that includes these losses for BL and peak motor shaft hp data.
Some of the actual data values may need to be adjusted, but this is what i copied from the TM site this morning, with a little searching around some of the threads for other data also.
If you extrapolate the Battery Limited BL data points out to 691 hp, it would appear that the 5000 lb car could make a run in about 2.3 - 2.5 seconds.
