Yeah, I was going to point you at that. Really great info. However, it's a little biased towards tax treatment for self-employed people who can deduct lease payments. Most of us can't.

As the author of that post, I'll acknowledge the bias; however, the fact is that each of lives in an after-tax world, so any financial analysis must be seen in that light. True, self-employed folks have an advantage over employed folks on both ownership and leasing alternatives. It's just one of the millions of inequities of our ridiculous IRS code.
