Tesmanian Air Filter Backward?

Hey guys - I was about to slide in my Tesmanian Air Filter replacements. But the printed instructions seems to suggest the opposite direction that I'm seeing in all DIY videos? Could someone please advise? Thanks so much.

Carbon side goes towards cabin/rear of vehicle. it does look like the arrows are pointing wrong way.

the arrows make sense if they’re the airflow direction, front to back.

That's what I thought, but here is the product photo on Tesmanian. Doesn't this look backwards?

Interesting, now I'm confused haha. Maybe the arrows are correct and people have been installing wrong.

You should probably ask Tesmanian for clarification. On the stock filters the arrow is airflow direction. On home HVAC filters the arrows are airflow direction, and the grid is on the outflow side (presumably to support the filter material against the airflow). I’m no expert, but it seems to me the grid should be facing backwards based on this reasoning. But as I said, you should ask them.
