Sympathy strikes in the past have been successful. This time it seems like Tesla is not overly bothered by them. Tesla are agile and can quickly adapt, when older companies would have struggled and risked their entire business by the chaos created. The Unions are very upset about this, they say that Tesla ignoring their attempts is "threatening the Swedish model". Imo this shows that they know that their model is fragile and cannot stand on its own merits. They try to frame it as "there is only benefits to collective agreements" but the companies doing the sympathy strike losing business highlights that there is at least one clear negative to signing these agreements.

It isn't about the 30, it is about all 300. IF Metal wants Tesla to sign an agreement making all of them union members, which increases their head count, and dues, by ~300 people.
