This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

We had some fun with the Nav/Trip planner today. We first drove from Bend to Hines and charged there. When I stopped charging, the car estimated that I would have 20% extra charge when I arrived in McDermitt. We set off, but were only a few hundred yards down the road when I noticed that the Nav wasn't updating - instead it was stuck on an instruction to turn into the Hines Supercharger. We pulled over and I cancelled the trip and reselected McDermitt. Now it was showing that we would arrive at McDermitt with only a 4% buffer and trying to route us back to the Hines Supercharger. If I insisted on going, the message to keep below 70 popped up. This was absurd, because I had charged up to 74% or 300 rated miles, and the distance to McDermitt is only 149 miles. After consulting with some of the Supercharger warriors to make sure I wasn't missing anything, I decided to proceed to McDermitt. Over the course of the trip the buffer % slowly crept up from 4% and in the end we arrived at McDermitt with 19% left.

At McDermitt, the car wanted to charge for 45 minutes to make the 181 mile leg to Boise. That also seemed absurd. I stopped it at 29 minutes, when it had 84% charge, or 340 rated miles. By this time it was estimating that we'd have 15% left when we got to Boise, but in fact when we got there we still had 30% left.

I have experienced similar oddities with the navigation in both our '14S and the '18 M3. All things being equal (no wind, no adverse weather, no detours) quite often the navigation says that I will arrive at my destination with, say, 22% for a 132-mile leg. A short distance into the journey the arrival percentage drops like a rock to 19%...15%...12% within perhaps fifteen miles. This is despite my driving habits of staying beneath the speed limit. When I reduce my speed the estimated arrival percentage finally flattens out and remains constant. Three times over the past few road trips I had to charge midway in order to reach the next stop in relative comfort.

While you experience overcharging to reach your destination, I have experienced undercharging. For longer legs (>75 miles), I charge to one quarter of the distance and change the unit to percent upon arrival. In my 132-mile example above, I would charge enough to have the estimated percent upon arrival to be (132)(.25) = 33%. This seems to allow an actual arrival percentage around 15%.

Hate to leave half an Eastbound/Westbound pair on the table but it required too much looping right before our hotel. Glad I skipped because when we got to our hotel the pool - which is the reason for booking - was closed. We had to find a new place to stay on the fly. Cost us 90 minutes.

Day 3 of a road trip to Austin, TX. I got going well before sunrise as I needed to snag the two chargers in OKC and get out of there before rush hour got going. Mission accomplished there, then onwards to TX. While I have flown into and out of several airports in TC before, I think today is the first time I’ve ever set foot in TX outside an airport. Knowing what I know about Texas and Texans, it did not disappoint me.

Next up was to hit a swathe down the west side of the DFW area and then along the bottom before heading to Austin. Traffic in DFW wasn’t as bad as I feared, except for one long area of construction that took three lanes down to one.

The most interesting bits were on the drive between DFW and my hotel S of Austin. Both Waze and Tesla Mac recommended the same very large detour on back roads around some big snarl on the I-35. Part of the detour went by some huge estates that must have covered 30 or more acres, with 25,000 sq ft houses in the middle. Then suddenly, we in much less reputable neighborhoods. Texans hate paying taxes, so roads in less reputable areas apparently get built without spending money to fill in low areas. Instead, the road simply descends into the low area, then climbs back out again, which makes it prone to flooding. I wish I had taken a photo of one such road, which had a very nice warning sign which said something like “road may be flooded”, and the hollow had a very nice prominent “dipstick” going up to five feet showing how deep the water was. Another interesting moment was on the same detour, when I came around a corner to see flashing lights at a train crossing, with the barriers down. But auto traffic was slowly threading between the barriers. Hmm. Finally as I got closer I saw that there was a stopped train, with the end of the last car just a few feet past the edge of the road, so it hadn't gone far enough to trip the switch to cancel the flashing lights and raise the barriers. Only in Texas.

Lessons learned today - do a better route study when selecting which chargers to snag going S and which ones to leave for the northbound return. Both Waco and Jarrel are on the service road on the northbound I-35, so it would have been easier to snag them on the way north on Monday. But, in each case I didn't realize this issue until I was enroute, without enough SOC to skip them. Time spent on recce is seldom wasted.

I’ll be at the Electrify Expo tomorrow, hoping to see a few interesting EV conversions of ICE cars. I may have time to snag a few chargers in the Austin area in the morning.
 
First alert for tomorrow (if nobody visits today): Port Deposit, MD. I'm already scheduled to head up from DC to NJ/NY in the afternoon/evening.

And another first alert for today: New Castle - Airport Rd, DE. Go figure, same trip. Unfortunately I’ll probably be there close to rush hour.
Made it to NJ with 2 firsts and 9 total… and lots of traffic. Feels like getting to 200 by Sunday is within reach.

Had to make up for schedule slip so drove a bit more. Only stopped to see the triple point of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. And at the end of the day charged at the Shamrock Connoco station that’s been fixed up for the Route 66 crowd. A nice surprise.

I'm kind of surprised they gave you anything at all in trade in for that car? I'm curious because I'm going to be in the same situation soon.
They gave me $8500 for the 2014 S-60 with 164,000 miles. They checked Carvana for me and the offer was $4500. The trade in saves me a little on sales tax in my state.

It seemed reasonable and I didn't have to figure out how to sell a car and still be able to get to the store to buy the new one. One car, one driver hundreds of miles from home and all that.
 
Took a trip to Canada today to procure several cases of Lowenbrau beer for our Toledo area son. Said beer is not available anywhere around here.
It was a good enough excuse to visit the couple of "close by" unvisited sites. The Canadian entry was reasonably speedy and uneventful. The U.S. return entry was also uneventful, except for the slow lines at Customs / Immigration. We took the bridge each way.
