Just a quick update. Had a chance to drive both a 70D with new gen seats and an 85D with standards. I am shocked to admit that I honestly could not feel much of a difference. I even told the poor guy with me that I was concerned about sliding out of the standards when making whipping turns so we made quite a few....my butt stayed put. So I think I may actually be looking at the standard seats just because I prefer the texture over the leather (Leather is just so hot).
This is actually opens some options for me in the CPO market since I had essentially ruled out a CPO due to wanting LTE, Next Gen, and AWD. Since I can upgrade to LTE, and the seats don't seem toaster I may just keep my eyes on the CPOs for a little bit until I am ready to pull the trigger new.
