The good thing about Tesla price increases and decreases (or at least historically was [when long lead times] so needs confirming that it’s still current policy) is that Tesla honour the lower total order price for price increases and apply new pricing for price decreases - unless you change the order - in which case they treat it as a new order at new book price ie you will potentially get locked in at a higher price.
Important to remember that this is lower total order price that is honoured not individual pricing, ie car, colour, wheels, EAP/FSD etc.
Also, if you change spec, say paint colour, or add EAP at time of order, then whole order pricing is calculated at then current book price so any lower price when you might have originally ordered will be lost.
tl;dr if you ordered car at lower price and fancy one of the new colours, it might cost more than just the difference in paint if prices have risen since first ordering.
