The fact of the matter is that fossil fuels are NOT going away immediately, it is a slow conversion process, one well on its way thanks to the efforts of EM and the tesla community.

ONE (of the many) problem is that while we have a current dependency on fossil fuel we have been signing and giving away all of our resources to other countries which is bad no matter how you look at it.

its not like Donald could ever come into office and just shut down all fossil fuel dependency that exists today that would be disastrous for the millions that depend on them, Someone does have to fix the problem of us not being in control first, stem the bleeding, then begin the healing process.

For those who own non-union businesses or work in non-union jobs:

Which candidate do you think will leave you the fk alone for 4/8 years? Clinton v1.0 did not. Not sure the v1.1 patch will actually address the basic operational flaw of the Clinton application, which is anti-small business, and pro-union. Clintonism is against the largest $ sector (small business), and supports the sector that is pushing jobs out of the US (non-trade mega unions). The UAW doesn't care about highly trained specialists in the auto field, because they are a minority. They care more for the unskilled workers who are more numerous by far. Heck, I worked on nuclear warheads and paid my UAW dues. I actually made more money leaving. The entire 10,000 workers there were laid off.

When I became a small business, Clinton v1.0 wanted me to pay a special tax to prove I don't ship weapons to the middle east. WTF? I don't make or sell weapons or do any international sales. ITAR/DDTC started to harrass small domestic non-export/import businesses under Clinton v1.0's watch. HUH? How stupid can a human be?

How did Clinton ordering strikes against the Yugoslavian region assist American workers?

When Islamic radicals bombed the WTC, what did Clinton do? Call off a hit on OBL. The WTC Attack Part Deux did not improve the American business environment much either, and if Clinton could have stopped thinking about his family and friends for 5 minutes, he could have stopped it.

Anyone remember the ADA? Clinton did not start it, but it expanded under Clinton's Rule. It was found out during the beginning of his reign that the ADA reduced the employment of the disabled by almost 8%, and cost small businesses billions in construction and lost land. So he made it worse and worse, and did not care, Clinton even pointed to it as his great achievement when it was actually destructive.

EVERYONE is ignoring the root cause of the problem.

The corruption is on full display within the Clinton machine. There is no way a self absorbed fourteen year old multi millionaire in a seventy year old body is going to fix anything.

WE are responsible for the people we hire to run our country. No one else.

If you want to fix it, start at the cause and Vote No Money.

If the electorate as a whole stands up and says it will not vote for a candidate (right, left or center) unless they (1) refuse to accept money and (2) will make money in politics/government illegal their top domestic priority, we would eliminate the Trumps AND the Clintons of this world and attract good quality public service minded people back to the political process.

Before you attack the concept as impossible, take a minute to imagine waving a magic wand and having 90% of the electorate poll vote no money tomorrow morning. Polls would pass it to the media. The media would pass it to aspirational candidates. Those candidates would step forward and the media would cover them. It would work.

It is our country. It is our government. Let's stop waiting for some magic candidate to come forward and fix everything for us. Let's fix it ourselves.

The Roves and the Carvilles of this world have done an excellent job of turning us against each other. If we were a more demanding electorate, candidates with this kind of scandal would be forced to remove themselves from the process to eliminate the distraction. Instead, we are actually spending time talking about it.

We are being played and we are falling for it.

Ain't that the case... :(

That's not the choice right now. That's not what's on the ballot box right now.

If you want to run for president next term around I'm sure you can get support on here. But the time to do that is before the primary. Now it's too late.

If you can't think any candidate will do you good, think of which one will hurt you the least. And if you can't think of that, expand that to your family, your community, your country and your planet.

If that still doesn't work, and 'No Money' is your top priority, then think about which candidate is most likely to appoint a supreme court judge that will vote to overturn Citizens United.

At some point there becomes a clear choice. Make it.

By that twisted logic, the other candidate would be liable to give undue influence to Balkan interests.

PS. for the conspiracy theorists: Yes, a US voting machine vendor is using Serbian developers:
One election-system vendor uses developers in Serbia

It's not like we get to choose just to buy the bacon off the pig. We have to buy the pig, the farmer, the slaughterhouse, the distributors, and the supermarkets.

I don't believe in conspiracy theories, but after watching the parade long enough, I realize that it's the workers of the US that have to sweep the streets when it's over, and the parade organizers who make the money.

The executive branch has very little power to improve our business climate, but has a tremendous amount of power to wreck it.

The best President we could elect at this time would be an inflatable doll. After the election, we pull the plug and lock it away for 4 years.

Would that be a write-in vote for Mitch McConnell?

Pat Paulsen is gone, RIP. He was the #1 "Take a Flying F*** at a Rolling Donut" vote. We need another Paulsen.

Mike Rowe should step up. He's clever and funny.

I just get a kick out of folk who think that Candidate A is the Devil, and Candidate B is Mother Theresa.

I could not blame an 18 year old voter for that, but anyone over 30 should have realized by now, that we now vote for the candidate who we think will cause us less harm, not the one who will do us the most good.
