Plug In - Waterville

Douglas County, Washington has one 80A charger hosted by the Highway 2 Brew in Waterville. Plug-In North Central Washington is arranging a "Plug In" there on Saturday the 3rd of September from 10 AM to 4 PM. We have commitments from several EV drivers to attend and are now extending an invitation to you. The purpose of this Plug In is to allow residents of this mostly wheat growing community to see EVs and talk with those who drive them. Our experience is that, "seeing is believing.." Waterville is about 30 miles from Wenatchee and is the county seat of Douglas County. The Highway 2 Brew has haL2 (80A), NEMA 14-50 and 120VAC charging opportunities. In addition to the electric drive cars, motorcycles and bicycles we will have battery powered lawn and garden equipment and a Polaris Ranger EV Li.

Plan to join us for a few minutes or hours, the site is beautiful and the weather will be fine...

We had an excellent showing at Waterville; Tesla Roadster, five Model S, one Leaf and one KIA Soul EV! Also present were one Zero motorcycle and one Polaris Ranger EV Li. The owners of these vehicles were so gracious and offered many rides, drives and hours of question answering. This EVent really changed some attitudes in Douglas County! The Mayor stayed for more than an hour talking with drivers about the ability to drive EVs in central Washington. Our estimate is that we visited with about 150 people during the day, not sure how many Rides & Drives but it must be close to 50... Plug-In North Central Washington learned the value of these small, community focused showings and is now planning to sponsor more Plug Ins... I think the drivers enjoyed the day too.

Great EVent Jack! A great time was had by all. Excellent location, coffee, sandwiches, and ice creme. I highly recommend it for charging batteries and people! Hopefully, we can push some of that excitement down into the Tri-Cities. I had some fruitful discussions with Margaret and Jim about how to move forward on charging options down here.
