I know they are not dimming but do they help more with blinding headlights from cars behind you?

Yes. The wider view makes the headlights smaller, thus less light hitting your eyes. The driver's side mirror is great, the passenger's side mirror is very close to the OEM.

Yes, in the beginning I did notice a lot more glare. However I don't notice it as much now, probably got used to it.
I bought these Suma side mirrors too after seeing positive reviews here in other threads and having a close call with a lane change with someone in my blindspot . I tried a couple of times adjusting the stock mirrors but was never happy with the coverage. This completely eliminates any blindspot on the driver side which I really like. With the wider view vehicles don't appear as large when directly in the lane behind you but haven't found that to be an issue and it more than makes up for by showing what else is around.
Easy enough to put the stock mirrors on if not happy with it but you'd be out $150.

Can we use the ones woth defroster as well?
we don’t have a turn signal in the mirrors so I assume that does not work.

I got the ones with the defroster. The swap is literally a 60 second job.

I love these mirrors but after installing the Abstract Ocean kit to install ambient lights for the back seat that’s definitely my new favorite.

To folks with the SUMA mirrors, I noticed there’s a metal tab on the OEM mirrors, that is not on the SUMA mirrors (see pictures below). Does anyone know what the metal tab on the OEM mirror does?

I just wondered the same - received the SUMA mirrors today and just installed them.
BTW: as others have written, this completely gets rid of the blind spot. I do wish that the driver's side mirror could be adjusted a bit further outward, but I think it's more of a mirror housing limitation. Still seeing quite a bit of the Y in it.
