Naming my Tesla - funny story

In what was a somewhat bizarre process given Tesla's distribution center model, I ended up fetching my car from the top of a parking garage attached to a casino on an American Indian Reservation. The people couldn't have been nicer, it was a good experience, and they spent as much time with me as I needed making sure to answer all my questions. 👍

A friend and I were talking about what to name it (not that I usually do so, but it was a fun conversation), and we settled on TONTO, as in a faithful "Indian" companion. Other friends soon pointed out how politically incorrect this was, as Tonto really was subservient to The Lone Ranger and that this was pretty racist. Being the sensitive guy I am 🥸 , I agreed, and dropped the whole idea.

Later, as some OTHER friends went into an anti Elon Musk rant upon learning I'd bought a Tesla and gave me a lot of crap about it (they're not so much my friends anymore), it occurred to me that given everything concerning this dude. perhaps MUSK RAT would have been a fun one. 😖

Anyhow, I hope I've not offended anyone here, and I'm definitely not naming the car, but I just had to post this story for those of you with as warped a sense of humor as I.

Musk Rat is excellent. Mine is white and I named it White Privilege, my wife vetoed that so it is now named Luna. I'm an amateur astronomer and an avid lunar observer so that works.
That's really interesting - pardon my ignorance, but as a lunar observer, how does that work? Telescope? Phases of the moon? What sorts of stuff do you follow/research? I had a doctor who had an observatory in his back yard, but I never got to talk to him about it.
