A few hundred miles on my '23 Model 3 standard, and I run into a pothole on a rainy night a few days ago. Right front. Couldn't see a thing. Crash. Heard the shocks bottoming? Turned on tire pressures, kept driving. Everything normal. No warnings, etc. Next day, everything fine. Still fine after a few days. No pressure drop in tires. Everything looks fine. No evident misalignment. Mileage fine, etc. Rim OK.
Drove by the pothole yesterday, and they had flagged it with a cone.
A day or two too late. About a foot wide and 4 inches deep. Wonder how many victims it claimed.
There's always the question of how much the tire has been weakened despite no apparent damage. Wonder if I should have it checked out?
I figure this is a pretty robust car. I understand those tires are over designed for heavy undercarriages.
