Model S alignment

I just got new tires at Costco for my 2017 Model S and they advised me to get an alignment. The guy at Costco told me local tire shops will not work on Teslas, so I made an appointment with Tesla service. I got a quote from them for $2000 for wheel alignment! This is an outrageous price. I did some research and found a local shop to do it for $150. Incredible.

Sounds like a typo (extra zero) on the estimate.

Alignment @ $275 SoCal at present.

Definitely a typo.

Also, if you’re driving straight and have good tire wear, you don’t need an alignment.
