...and do they impact the aero qualities of the car? What’s the pros and cons of fitting mud flaps? Do they really deflect that much dirt?
I have yet to see anyone who has fitted them complain about their effect on range which is a good sign....and do they impact the aero qualities of the car?
Anyone who’s installed mud flaps can you post a few pics please.
Would be good to see how they look fitted.
I think I'd probably look to get a full PPF done and leave it at that.
There was a post in the last couple of days called something like "Holes in wheelarch lining" that had some photos, I ordered some mudflaps as a result.
They were my pics. Honestly, I think they look great - very OEM. They integrate well with the body line. Not too big, but enough to stop a lot of the stones etc that will get thrown up.Direct Line won't insure the car if it has PPF. Seems daft to me, but ... people who have spoken to them to just get it excluded seem to have failed (unless things have changed and someone has managed to do that?)

Wtf what about ceramic coat?Direct Line won't insure the car if it has PPF. Seems daft to me, but ... people who have spoken to them to just get it excluded seem to have failed (unless things have changed and someone has managed to do that?)

I think the point is that the normal/traditional use of wrapping has been to turn cars into matt purple coloured go carts, so it increases the risk, hence the additional premium. That's how actuarials work.Wtf what about ceramic coat?
Can someone who has fitted mud flaps and is happy with them share a link please?
Also do you need to drill any extra holes for the mud flaps?
Are the front mudflaps that are attached to the liner loose with some movement, given the liner is not itself firmly attached to the wheel arch. If so then are there potential issues with paint rub from the flaps?https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product...sin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=tmc064-20
You need to drill two holes - one on each front mud flap. But, it's only into the thin inner plastic liner and it's extremely simple!
