Just joined the club! 2024 Tesla Model Y Performance with Ultra Red exterior, white interior, and tow hitch. Pretty excited!! Reading / educating myself in this forum, Reddit, and YouTube - exciting!! Delivery sometime before end of March per app. Also purchased Wall Charger, and am considering protection film or something of that sort to protect the paint. This one is a his & hers; wife wanted an SUV and at first didn't like the minimalism of the Tesla, but I won her over re: all things considered around cost & performance compared to the competition. Geico will likely be my insurer as we have multiple car discount; quote was $900/6 months -- will see how that goes (I hear Nationwide and StateFarm are also good / cost-effective insurers; maybe Tesla too if in one's area.)

Cheers!

Awesome list -- thank you very much!! Will step through and consider most of the recommendations! Came back to this site tonight to research PPF and saw your reply to my post. Xpel PPF versus going with Tesla? Am considering PPF for my Ultra Red; you say you also got ceramic -- this car will be somewhat of a daily driver / share between the wife and I so ... wanna protect it but not go broke in the process lol!

Beautiful car too! That paint protection shows in the photo!!

Recently dabbled with 120+ mps

Forgot to advise
Pin the speed, 4 digit code
This puts rhe MYP on chill mode
Use sport and track modes when you need the occasional fix
Thanks! Yep ... will definately have to watch the speed. 4 digit pin to bring it out of Chill mode in all profiles (we'll have 2), sounds good, though I don't expect my wife to go to fast ... scared the heck out of her when I popped the accelerator on the demo, and it was only a 1 second accel; the torque in these cars!!! Amazing!

Cheers!
Welcome to the group, what a great choice, going to love it! Shop that insurance! Geico was the highest for us, we switched to CAA for our Tessys and Sonnet for our son's Prius. Saved 1000's per year. "Sir, did you know the Plaid is 1000+ HP? That's why it's so high." Right, thanks, we're jumping ship!

In the matter of 1 week my daughter ordered and received a MY AWD with tax incentive and no state sales tax in NJ, and today I ordered a MY AWD with tax incentive and $2,000 PA state rebate. The deals were too good to pass up, and research showed no other mfg comes close to the value. We're both previous Honda owners, hybrid and civic.
